Dishonest My wife stopped at this dealership when the serpentine belt on her car broke. She was told that the A/C pulley was bent and that caused the belt to c My wife stopped at this dealership when the serpentine belt on her car broke. She was told that the A/C pulley was bent and that caused the belt to come off. She asked if they could replace the pulley and was told "NO" it couldn't be done. They gave her a written quote to replace the A/C compressor and belt for $1186.00 plus tax. She called me and I told her to bring the car home, a short distance. Today we had it repaired at a local shop. The pulley was OK and what remained of the belt was worn and cracked, the probable cause of the break in the first place. The cost of the repair was less than $30 for the belt and .5 hrs. labor. So for less than $100 the car is repaired. And the a/c pulley can be replaced if needed. What a dishonest service department this place has, so be careful so you don't get scammed as well. Shame on McCarthy Chevrolet for this unethical practice. BTW, I didn't mention the service advisors name in my review, but he did charge her $65.00 for lying to her. More

Honest Service I have a 2012 chevy sonic i bought from another dealership and i had been taking it to that dealership for general service, but 1 time i got a recall I have a 2012 chevy sonic i bought from another dealership and i had been taking it to that dealership for general service, but 1 time i got a recall in the mail and called them to have everything scheduled and they wound up dropping the ball big time they set me up an appointment only to tell me after i showed up to drop it off that they didnt have my parts and wouldnt have them for awhile and that they forgot to call me. That is the day i said good bye and hello to McCarthy, they are closer to my house and i decided to give them a shot on my recall and it very well for a first experience. and so after that i decided to take my car back again for regular maintenace and well here we are 4 years later. i keep taking it here because these guys and gals are friendly, I am pretty sure by now i have dealt with at least every member of their service team as i don't have anyones personal extension there and just call the dealership and get whoever they send me too. They are honest and tell you what GM recommends you have done to your car and dont push you into it, that's one thing i hate is when you feel like you have to get something done to your car because the advisor says so. i have told them no a few times here and they were ok with that and got me on my way. I used to get these printouts after having service of what may or may not need to be done to my car and they were color coated red, green, yellow but for some reason they stopped i havent seen one in like a year i miss those but that's just something little.One last thing i do like the every 10 oil changes the next one is free i have not seen that from a dealership before that's a nice little touch, however the preferred member key chain cards you get if you signup for their loyalty program thing stink because they faded out way to fast and you can't read the numbers anymore i have 3 of them 1 lasted 10 months and the other only lasted like 6 months now im not sure if you really need them or not but still just having it there and knowing your a preferred customer is a nice little reminder. I have yet to a buy a car from this dealership which is why im writing this review because i am becoming interested in getting a different car so i have been using this site to check on the dealerships with the most satisfaction and im glad to see this place isn't at the bottom. I i think i may have found the deal of a lifetime at another dealership on the car im looking at but if that doesnt work i think i might try McCarthy's sales team and see how i get treated. More

Truck Buying Went to look for a new truck from here as I have been familiar with the service department with my other Silverado. Went in with the stock number from a truck at one of their other dealers. Kyle sat down with me, he found the truck and they went and ran some number and got me all the discounts they could. I was ecstatic with the first price they came back with. No hassle with pricing or interest rate. I even had a work issue so when the truck got to the dealer later that day, I had to run thru the finance and paperwork signing quickly, but nothing was missedoing and all was explained without issue. Will definitely buy from their again and send friends there. More

Good car buying experience!! I purchased a brand new 2014 Chevy Sonic from McCarthy Chevy in Lee's Summit in September 2014. I came back a little over 2 years later on January 20 I purchased a brand new 2014 Chevy Sonic from McCarthy Chevy in Lee's Summit in September 2014. I came back a little over 2 years later on January 2017 and was able to trade the Sonic in for a new 2016 Chevy Cruze Lt. My salesperson was Tabitha Anderson, and she made the experience easy, and well worth it...She got me in exactly what I wanted. I would definitely recommend McCarthy Chevy Lee's Summit to others!!!! Nobody trustworthy there I hope this dealer is happy they did nothing but xx my daughter thank you for destroying year Christmas and new year . My daughter went to get a chevy Camaro there last year . They said because she hasn't financed a car that they couldn't do it but if she gets this 2016. Sonic and come back in a year they will get her in what she wanted so we went there in December which she had the car for over a year . Then they told here the only thing she good get was a Silverado for 800 a month because they screwed her on the sonic she still owes 20000 dollars on a 16000 dollar car she has been paying 508 a month for little over a year. We said no so they went to see if they can get her approved for a Malibu. They said it's couple days till Christmas we will get something done Monday. Monday came we where told we need more time wanted a week even told them will give money down any way finally on January 3 we where told by phone call they can't help her so know my daughter is stuck paying 500 a month for a basic sonic . The sad part is I was so impressed last year I got a Silverado. From them also for my wife . We travel a lot everyone loves her truck we send probably 8 people there to get cars even my wife sister got one . But it I have taken off the McCarthy emblem. And will never send anyone there or tell anyone where I got the truck agian .I know as her father I shouldn't have trusted them but I was just trying to make her happy. And just so you know they salesman and the financial guy is no longer there but the GM is . And if they can't sell you a car you will never here from them . I know this post won't change anything there and no one will help my daughter out but I hope no other father's get there daughter done wrong . So McCarthy I hope you guys are happy with your self . You all said she did good will her payment's been on here job for 3 years even got promoted. But you all knew she couldn't trade in her car in a year you should have told her. Know she is upset hates the car . And the bad thing is she walked to work for or 2 weeks just to keep the mileage under 15000 miles . So just remember you ruined 24 year old new year so thanks and you all knew she liked the car she traded in she just wanted a chevy so bad . As her father I will take the blame for making her trade her car in and trusting McCarthy ..so if anyone wants more info just let me know on a post i will contact you .
