Honest Service I have a 2012 chevy sonic i bought from another dealership and i had been taking it to that dealership for general service, but 1 time i got a recall I have a 2012 chevy sonic i bought from another dealership and i had been taking it to that dealership for general service, but 1 time i got a recall in the mail and called them to have everything scheduled and they wound up dropping the ball big time they set me up an appointment only to tell me after i showed up to drop it off that they didnt have my parts and wouldnt have them for awhile and that they forgot to call me. That is the day i said good bye and hello to McCarthy, they are closer to my house and i decided to give them a shot on my recall and it very well for a first experience. and so after that i decided to take my car back again for regular maintenace and well here we are 4 years later. i keep taking it here because these guys and gals are friendly, I am pretty sure by now i have dealt with at least every member of their service team as i don't have anyones personal extension there and just call the dealership and get whoever they send me too. They are honest and tell you what GM recommends you have done to your car and dont push you into it, that's one thing i hate is when you feel like you have to get something done to your car because the advisor says so. i have told them no a few times here and they were ok with that and got me on my way. I used to get these printouts after having service of what may or may not need to be done to my car and they were color coated red, green, yellow but for some reason they stopped i havent seen one in like a year i miss those but that's just something little.One last thing i do like the every 10 oil changes the next one is free i have not seen that from a dealership before that's a nice little touch, however the preferred member key chain cards you get if you signup for their loyalty program thing stink because they faded out way to fast and you can't read the numbers anymore i have 3 of them 1 lasted 10 months and the other only lasted like 6 months now im not sure if you really need them or not but still just having it there and knowing your a preferred customer is a nice little reminder. I have yet to a buy a car from this dealership which is why im writing this review because i am becoming interested in getting a different car so i have been using this site to check on the dealerships with the most satisfaction and im glad to see this place isn't at the bottom. I i think i may have found the deal of a lifetime at another dealership on the car im looking at but if that doesnt work i think i might try McCarthy's sales team and see how i get treated. More

Went in with the stock number from a truck at one of their other dealers. Kyle sat down with me, he found the truck and they went and ran some number and got me all the discounts they could. I was ecstatic with the first price they came back with. No hassle with pricing or interest rate. I even had a work issue so when the truck got to the dealer later that day, I had to run thru the finance and paperwork signing quickly, but nothing was missedoing and all was explained without issue. Will definitely buy from their again and send friends there. More

Good car buying experience!! I purchased a brand new 2014 Chevy Sonic from McCarthy Chevy in Lee's Summit in September 2014. I came back a little over 2 years later on January 20 I purchased a brand new 2014 Chevy Sonic from McCarthy Chevy in Lee's Summit in September 2014. I came back a little over 2 years later on January 2017 and was able to trade the Sonic in for a new 2016 Chevy Cruze Lt. My salesperson was Tabitha Anderson, and she made the experience easy, and well worth it...She got me in exactly what I wanted. I would definitely recommend McCarthy Chevy Lee's Summit to others!!!! New car "bait and switch"? Yesterday, July 11, 2016 I went into the the McCarthy Chevrolet in Lee's Summit to look at the 2016 Impala with the intention of buying. I drove one o Yesterday, July 11, 2016 I went into the the McCarthy Chevrolet in Lee's Summit to look at the 2016 Impala with the intention of buying. I drove one of their v6 Impalas and really loved it. It was the color I wanted and had all the options I wanted. I was quoted a price (in writing) by the sales manager that included a 20% rebate that is a national promotion. I told the sales person that I was interested but needed my husband to look at the price. The sales person, Troy Shaw, called my husband this morning. My husband is the reason I chose McCarthy because he had purchased a Suburban there and was happy. My husband told Troy that I was bringing my car by to see what the dealership would offer for it. I went to McCarthy with my car at 11:30 to have the used car manager look at it and give me a price. He quoted a price and I told the sales person that I would take the deal. He told me he would get the papers ready and have the car cleaned and filled with gas. I had an appointment but told him I would be back today to get the car. I needed my title from home. I called about 2 to let Troy know that I would be there after 5 PM when my husband gets home. My husband and I returned to pick up the car before 6PM. At that time we were told by Troy and another sales person that the quoted price could not longer be honored. They said the 'special discount' had been given to another person on the previous day!? Before that moment no one had mentioned that even though there had been at least 2 opportunities to inform us before we moved forward. I am confused, disappointed, angry and sad. This was my first experience buying a car by myself and I had done all my homework. I can't say for certain that it was dishonest but it was certainly unprofessional and unethical. Paula C More
