Marty Thompson was my Facebook contact person and he had the car I was interested in ready for me to view and test drive. He was very knowledgeable in the cars features and did a good job showing me and explaining things to me. It helped me make my decision to buy. A negative was how long the entire process took. Perhaps potential trade ins could be inspected while you are test driving or doing other paperwork. Also, IMO the salespeople should not have to use their own money to buy customer a can of soda. Did not enjoy working with the person that did our pass though sale and paperwork very much. We had questions and Josh was very much in a hurry to get the paperwork done and seemed very defensive or frust though sale and paperwork very much. We had questions and Josh was very much in a hurry to get the paperwork done and seemed very defensive or frustrated and not very kind because we were working with a private seller who wanted to go through the dealer for all of the paperwork in order to get a tax rebate or trade in on his own new truck he was purchasing from McCarthy's lot. (Not our choice). There was an additional 200 dollar fee that we had a question about on our paperwork, but the private seller did end of paying that-which was appreciated. When I was leaving, one of the older gentleman working at McCarthy's in a blue shirt, was rude to me and said that I should have "at least split that cost with the private seller," which I did not appreciate, and it was none of his buisness to say the least. The whole thing made me feel uneasy and I wouldn't want to go back. More
I am looking at a used car at McCarthy Auto World. My brother noticed a coolant leak that is common in that model and I asked them to have their shop look at it before I bought it. They said they woul My brother noticed a coolant leak that is common in that model and I asked them to have their shop look at it before I bought it. They said they would look at it in the morning and I could buy it tomorrow. They laid out a sheet of paper that they said I needed to sign to acknowledge the terms they showed me. I asked them if this was me buying the car and Isaac Super (salesman) said no. My brother said that it looks like a purchase agreement. The salesman said "I'm super tired and I only started here three weeks ago. I don't know how things work here." Thank god we pressed them and got out of there. This was a slimy experience and ruined what seemed like a very good deal. More
