Jay (and Jared) have been phenomenal consultants (not sales people), they were patient, great communicators, and were guiding us in our decision making. Jay took our car shopping to the finish line, and was amazing! He went above and beyond to ensure we got the car we wanted. I’ve purchased many cars in my lifetime but this experience stands out for all the wonderful reasons. I’ve never owned a Mazda and never seriously considered the brand, but now we’re already considering another purchase in the near future, and it will definitely be with Jay and Mazda of Roswell More
BLUF: Unfortunately, a typical car dealer experience. Bahar and Jackson were both friendly and very responsive to all my questions. Ultimately had to mitigate bogus fees and car had significant damage that was not disclosed. Disheartening. Pretty much why everyone hates the car buying experience! Pros: Friendly staff. Attentive to questions. Internet price for vehicle was fair and upfront. Cons: First offer included $999.00 fee for appearance package fee and $299.00 decontamination fee. I balked and refused these fees and they did relent. Watch out for bogus fees. As for the appearance fee: The car was NOT clean at all. I spent 8 hours detailing the car the day after purchase. It was barely vacuumed and still had the window paint markings from the auction. The detail person should be fired and they should be ashamed to try to charge a cleaning fee for what they represent as a "clean" car! I always have to clean freshly purchased used cars, so I get it...but this was one of the worst I have encounter in a great number of car purchases. Car only had 50 miles to empty, about 2 gallons of gas in it. First time I have ever purchased a car from a dealership without a full tank of gas. I guess its a sign of the times...or a harbinger of what was to come... Tires were represented by the sales person over the phone as "still pretty good" "about 50% tread left". Upon getting it home and inspecting the tires, all 4 are at the wear lines! (See pics) they will have to be replaced very soon. They should never have passed a safety inspection. Which brings me to my next point--I do not think they did/do a full inspection on their used cars prior to their sale. I did not receive any inspection paperwork showing what was checked or including any mechanics notes as I have from other major name dealerships. which leads me to... The first night I had the car it left a 2" by 2" oil spot on my driveway! It's an Audi A7, and its a nice house with a nice driveway, so needless to say, I was very unhappy! So I got under the car to find it has an oil leak from the rear of the transmission. The bottom splash guard that is an integral and critical part on modern cars is completely torn up and only being held in place by 2 screws (out of 7 I think?) It has pine needles and leaves stuck to it and wedged up underneath it. They supposedly changed the oil...but I wouldn't be so sure--as no decent mechanic would have left the leaves and pine needles and left the mangled cover attached with only 2 screws. SO not really an oil change--or bad mechanic? or both? The VIN in the front window is split in 2 and partly unreadable (see pic). It gives great concern that it could be an altered VIN. How does this even happen? All in all, 2 new bottom splash guards are $354 and $314 from Audi + new tires ($1500ish) + a detail job and +whatever my mechanic charges me to fix an unknown leak in or near the transmission...seems like maybe I did not get such a good deal. TO TOP IT OFF: The sales person reached out the afternoon of purchase and then again 2 days later via text to remind me to fill out a dealer survey--I informed her of my dissatisfaction and the problems/misrepresentations I encountered and her response was "I'm so sorry that has happened! Don't worry about the review!" Three days later, and NO follow up from the manager or anyone else. Just sorry...disregard that review! I'm not saying to stay away, but be very careful and do your due diligence. I cannot stress enough to look the car over THOROUGHLY, put it on the rack and look underneath, watch for bogus fees and don't buy from far away if you cannot provide your own inspection..Caveat Emptor More
