Incompetant - Terrible Customer Service In July I received a letter from Mazda stating that airbag recall 7914J was ready to be performed on my 2007 Mazda 6. I am getting ready to sell or tr In July I received a letter from Mazda stating that airbag recall 7914J was ready to be performed on my 2007 Mazda 6. I am getting ready to sell or trade it in so I can buy a new car so I wanted to be sure everything was up to par. On Monday Aug 10 2015 I went on-line to CJ Wilson Mazda web site and booked a service appointment for Thursday Aug 13 2015 at 7:45 am, and checked the box for shuttle service so that someone could take me to work. I included the recall number 7914J as well as my VIN and contact information. I checked the optional box to be contacted, and wrote to please call me or email me on Tuesday Aug 11 to confirm that A) CJ Wilson Mazda had the part needed for the appointment, and B) That I could be transported to work on Aug 13. When nobody had contacted me by 5:30 on Tuesday, I called C J Wilson Mazda and asked for Service. They transferred me to parts. I asked the parts guy to transfer me to service. When I finally reached service, I spoke to Oscar. Oscar confirmed my appointment, stated I would be driven to work, and said that they do have the part there, but he needed to confirm that it could be used for my car on Thursday. He said he needed 15 minutes and would call me back. He never called back. On Wednesday morning I called CJ Wilson Mazda again and talked to someone else in service who informed me that Oscar had gone home sick that morning, but didn't know what transpired the previous evening. This service rep put me on hold while he checked with parts, and confirmed that the part for my car was there, and that my name was on it for the following morning. The following morning I arrived at 7:40 AM at CJ Wilson Mazda and after a short wait while Oscar moved three cars ahead of me out of the way, Oscar checked my car in, completed a visual inspection, confirmed all of my information, assured me that they had the part to perform the recall, had me sign the work order, and sent me upstairs to wait "two minutes" for the shuttle driver to take me to work. It is a newer very clean showroom and waiting area, one I would feel comfortable buying a new car in. It was still before 8 am so there were no salespeople around, but as 2 minutes turned to 10 I looked around at the cars in the showroom, pondering my next purchase. Shortly after 8 am, Oscar came up and told me that they could not perform the repair, as they no longer had the part. They gave it to someone else. They ordered me one; it might be there on Friday Aug 14. Now it was apparent that my first impression was right when they couldn’t follow up with a call back as requested. My second impression was right as well, when I called and asked for service and they transferred me to parts. My third impression was right too, when they said they would call back in 15 minutes and never did. As I stood there in disbelief, beating myself up internally for not heading the warnings of the first three impressions CJ Wilson made on me, the only solution they offered me was a loaner, while they kept my car indefinitely until the new part arrived, and could then be installed. As much as I would have liked to take their loaner car and beat on it to take my frustrations out, I am not that kind of person. I asked for my car back and informed Oscar that based on their total lack of customer service, and obvious incompetence, I would not trust them to babysit my car until the part arrived, much less install it properly or even remember to call me if/when my car ever got completed. I asked for my car back, and drove myself to work, arriving late. CJ Wilson had a chance – several chances – to win my business. They totally failed. I am dropping my car off this morning at another dealer, and will not be buying my new Mazda from CJ Wilson. Maybe you will have better luck. More
Incredible car buying experience! I had done a TON of research online beforehand, so I went in with 5 million questions. Some of my questions were just plain old dumb:), but Dan answer I had done a TON of research online beforehand, so I went in with 5 million questions. Some of my questions were just plain old dumb:), but Dan answered every single one of them in great detail and with much patience. He was simply fantastic. He sold me an awesome car, going above and beyond to make sure I got what I needed and what I wanted. Really, truly super helpful. Even answered quite a few additional questions through texting. Mike Mockaitis in financing was also incredible. I would HIGHLY recommend CJ Wilson Mazda. More

Brandon Baldeshwiler Wow! Any time I've needed to buy a car, I always drag my feet because the experience is always crappy. NOT THIS TIME! My salesman Brandon made buying Wow! Any time I've needed to buy a car, I always drag my feet because the experience is always crappy. NOT THIS TIME! My salesman Brandon made buying my Mazda 3 so comfortable. He went above and beyond to make me feel right at home. He even offered me something to drink or eat. The service here was tremendous. I wouldn't say that I am particular to any car brand, until now. Brandon showed me the full potential of what Mazda had to offer and he put me in a car that fit my needs in all aspects of my life, including my wallet. I've already gotten my mother in law to begin looking for a Mazda 3 as well and Brandon was more than happy to answer some questions for her over the phone. 10 gold stars all around, very impressive. Attempt to Cancel an Extended Warranty Our son purchased a vehicle from this dealership (Orland Park) in 2014. He had recently traded it in and purchased a vehicle closer to home (Mundelei Our son purchased a vehicle from this dealership (Orland Park) in 2014. He had recently traded it in and purchased a vehicle closer to home (Mundelein) At the time of his 2014 purchase he also purchased an extended warranty and for simplicity sake now needed to cancel it. On his behalf I first contacted Allstate the warranty provider and they instructed I contact the dealership for the necessary cancellation document and we would need to provide the vin # and odometer disclosure statement - everything we already have. Dealership would then provide info to Allstate. Well, this is when the headaches began something so simple has turned into a nightmare. In four days I contacted the dealer 8 times. First call I couldn't get thru to anyone. The second call I was forwarded to a manager (Mike) and he had me speak to Nick Hubbs. Spoke to Nick Hubbs in Finance Dept on a Wednesday morning and he assured me that he would email the document with instructions on processing. On Thursday I left two messages indicating I had not received the information and wanted to confirm the email address he was using. No call back Thursday, Friday or Saturday. I placed 3 calls on Friday, with no luck just "leave a message" What good is leaving messages when no one was calling back! So Saturday was the day that broke the camel's back!! Now three days after my one and only time speaking to Nick Hubbs and many other calls placed I still do not have anything resolved. Today I called again and Liz the Cashier was very polite and helpful. Although Nick was in, he was not able to pick up the phone too busy I guess to provide service for someone looking for a refund and not a loan! He advised Liz that he sent the email (very questionable!) and would be checking the email address and would resend. After venting to Liz about him not picking up the phone as a courtesy just allowing her to run back and forth with questions - who does that??? she mentioned that Nick told her he would need to see my son in person before processing!!! Why didn't he call to let me know that? Why send an email with the document (if it was sent at all)? Impossible! I told them that that wasn't going to happen due to my son's 12 hour work days. Undoubtedly more time wasted. Come on people was is this about??? Next I asked to speak to the GM. She was very willing to put through the call as he was also in. Sat on hold (listening to an annoying recording) for what seemed to be a lifetime. No pick up by the GM or Liz. I'm certain if I wanted to purchase something I'd have four people in line to pick up. While still on hold I placed a separate call via our home phone (showing caller ID at their end I'm sure) and now the calls were routed thru there automated system. Unfortunately it felt like they no longer wanted to address the issue. ABSOLUTELY FRUSTRATING...... something that could have been easily resolved and professionally handled is still an issue. Allstate mentioned that once they approve the document then the dealership would be responsible to mail our money back to us. Well, ask me if I think that's going to happen???? We want our refund on the unused warranty and I will continue to follow thru with Allstate and express the difficulty I have had with CJWilson. One way or another I expect to have this resolved. More
