Dishonest presentation After we had signed a contract for a used car, we were told that the California bank wanted $600.00 more without saying why. When we talked to the bank we were told that they did not ask for the 600.00 and that CJ Wilson Mazda should call to straighten the issue. After we called, C J Wilson Mazda admitted that the additional charge had nothing to do with the bank. We think it is was an after agreement price hike. Once we agreed and signed the price should have been set. More
Tire/Rim Replacement and Windshield Replacement I dropped my car off on a Monday for a tire replacement. After sitting in the lobby for over an hour I was told that my standard tire was not in stock I dropped my car off on a Monday for a tire replacement. After sitting in the lobby for over an hour I was told that my standard tire was not in stock and they had to order the tire and have the tire approved for replacement under the warranty. I was given a loaner car and was told my car should be ready at the end of the day. Later that morning I was informed that I needed two tires replaced and a rim replaced and my car would not be ready at the end of the day, so I told the service department to schedule a windshield replacement. After Monday, I had to call Mazda to get an update on my car because no one from the service department was calling me. In addition, each time I called I was told that my car would be ready the next day, and on the following day I would call and my car was still NOT ready. My car was in the repair shop for 5 days!!! Very disappointed with the timeliness of the service repairs and the lack of updates from the service department. A customer should NEVER have to call to receive updates on their vehicle and should not be told false information. Lastly, every time I called to check on my vehicle I would be put on hold for 5 minutes and the individual was still unable to answer my questions. Incredibly disappointed with the service and would prefer to never return back to the Orland Mazda. More

Just a simple oil/filter/tire rotation but they got me in quick, kept me informed, out in under the estimated time, and here's the kicker.... out with a car wash and included at NO CHARGE was rental car reimbursement, towing assistance, and $150 toward tire repair if something should happen in the next four (4) months....Definitely wowed. Kudos to the team at CJ Wilson More

Great people but overall just an okay experience My wife and I visited the dealership on a Saturday before close and decided to come back the following Monday to buy a 2016 certified preowned Mazda6. My wife and I visited the dealership on a Saturday before close and decided to come back the following Monday to buy a 2016 certified preowned Mazda6. Dan worked with us both days and was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable about the Mazda6 and it's features. As it goes, we tried to negotiate on price and accessories, but there was not much flexibility, not even on a preowned vehicle where they likely have higher margins than new cars. They didn't even have flexibility to add all-weather floor mats or tint. Instead they worked out a decent deal on the financing side, but we also contributed over a third of the list price as a down payment. Everything seemed to have gone well with the purchase until we realized a day later that there were a number of things in the closing papers that didn't reflect what we thought we had negotiated and paid for. And, that wasn't explain to us on the day of the sale. For example, a $300 fee was added for some window security edging, which I learned from another CJ Wilson dealer usually is a option offered to customers on preowned vehicles. Also, certain items were added pre-tax on the closing statement even though, per our prior discussions, the price supposedly included sales tax. It almost felt like they duped us (intentionally or not) and, needless to say, we weren't very happy when we discovered these inconsistencies. We went back and voiced our concerns to Jack, who at first didn't seem very empathetic, stating that we should have read what we signed and take responsibility for our actions. I acknowledged that it was partly on us and that we should have been more vigorous asking questions about the various charges during the closing, but it's not every day that we make a $28k purchase and by that time we had been at the dealer for 6 hours, more or less, and there were tons of papers to sign that were briefly explained to us. Some might say that this is even more of a reason to be vigorous, but on the other hand we trusted the people who do this for a living. Lesson learned. Next time we'll definitely pay more attention to the details and I strongly encourage you to do the same, whether you go here or to another dealer. Back to Jack, he did end up escalating our concerns to his boss, Steve, I think that was his name but Never met him myself. And, as a result, Jack was able to offer us a service contract with three free oil changes to make up for some of the difference. At the end of the day, a satisfactory solution. Days after buying the vehicle, when getting tint installed, I had the pleasure of working with Edyta in the service department. She was awesome, very courteous and great to work with. The job was done the next day and I'm very happy with the result. In summary, the people were great (expect for the initial after-sale conversation with Jack), but the overall experience was negatively affected due to the inconsistencies between the purchase contract and what we thought that we were getting/paying for. I'm giving a 3 of 5 rating, which, but for the issues we had, could have been higher. I selected that I would not recommend this dealer mainly because there was no neutral option and I couldn't leave it unanswered. I'll continue to visit this dealer for service in the foreseeable future, so maybe over time I'll get to a point where I will feel comfortable recommending this dealer without hesitation. More
