Easy waiting I was told my oil change would take an hour. I have a three year old and packed for the worst. Lots of toys! Turns out we didn't even need them! The mechanic didn't use a fender protector while he was servicing the car. Oil filters on a Miata are horizontal to the block, there is no way you can remove one without spilling oil on the block. Because of this I asked specifically to have the mechanic use some brake cleaner to clean off the oil so it doesn't drip on my garage floor for the next week. It either wasn't done, or done poorly. - five days later and I'm still cleaning the garage floor. If it was cleaned, it is thinned by the brake cleaner, it's easy to tell if it was done or not. It wasn't, this is straight oil consistency. I'll give it a couple more days before I go back to have them complete it correctly if I'm still cleaning the garage floor after a week. Makes me wonder if the other work I had done was completed as poorly. When you drop a couple hundred bucks for service and you have dozens of other places to choose from, I don't waste time with shops that do a poor job. I've had good service here previously, I'll give them one more opportunity to do a good job or I'm off to another Mazda dealer for service. More
