Jerry, We're disappointed that you happened to have this brake issue on the one day of the week that our service department is closed. As I mentioned when we spoke, this brake issue is considered a wear item and the warranty will not cover them as a defect. I did offer to have your vehicle inspected here and we will install Mazda Original parts at no cost to you as a courtesy. If you change your mind and would like us to go ahead and do that, please contact me and I'd be happy to get you set up with an appointment. But Eric, what difference would it make if I brought my vehicle to your dealership instead of getting it fixed by someone else? As you stated, the warranty will not cover a wear and tear item so I would have had to pay someone either way. And since your brake pads only lasted 12,000 miles and caused the rotor damage also, I think that I will pass on your dealership installing Mazda Original parts because the company that installed the new pads and rotors stated that brake pads should last for 30-35,000 miles. You and your service dept don’t care about your customers and don’t care about customer retention. I will never come back to your dealership to have my vehicle serviced and at the end of my lease, I will turn my vehicle in and never ever even think of getting another Mazda. Just think, every 12,000 miles I would have to replace the brake pads and rotors on my Mazda, not for me but thanks for the response.
