My wife and two kids and I arrived tired and hungry on the tail end of an 8,500 mile cross-country road trip from CA to NY. Joe met us at the service center door and went straight to work getting our Mazda CX-9 checked in for an oil change and tire rotation and set up the shuttle to whisk us off to lunch at BJ's Restaurant nearby while the mechanics went to work. Joe also provided me with a quote for a new set of tires and answered all our questions. Joe's can-do attitude and pleasant demeanor made our experience smooth and worry-free. I only wish we lived closer...we'd come to Mazda of Elk Grove for all our service needs. Thank you for a great customer experience! More
The Elk Grove Mazda Team is Exceptional!! This is actually the SECOND time I've come into the dealership to arrange for service on my existing car and came out with a NEW one!! The sales team is SO helpful and fun to talk to that I wanted to buy a car from them even though I had had NO intention of purchasing one! Garrett sold me my Mazda 2 two and a half years ago and I have been wishing to have a bit larger vehicle with cruise control due to nerve damage in my feet. I'm a single mom and didn't think I could possibly find a way to move up to a better car. But, Michael K. and Garrett helped me so much and I'm now the proud owner of a gorgeous new Mazda 3! Michael is extremely patient and never left me hanging, wondering what was going on. He regularly kept me in the loop as the finance dept was figuring out how to get me into the new car without any collateral but my Mazda 2. In addition, Steve Wray made the financing/leasing process as smooth as silk. He's so easy to talk to and has a great sense of humor! I've dealt with many people in finance but Steve ranks at the top! Kyle in service was also great to work with. I made an appt to bring in the Mazda 2 for its 30K service and then had to go back to him later to cancel it now that I have a new car. Kyle was so gracious about going to the trouble I put him through - he's a very nice guy. So, I look forward to many years of working with Mazda of Elk Grove and all the great people they've got! Ordering parts and getting the correct parts can be very hard at times, but having Bill Thiessen and Kao Chao at the Mazda of Elk Grove parts department makes it very easy and simple. Bill is always 100% ac hard at times, but having Bill Thiessen and Kao Chao at the Mazda of Elk Grove parts department makes it very easy and simple. Bill is always 100% accurate with parts orders and at times will even deliver the parts himself. Kao is a great leader for that parts department and always takes good care of his customers. I recommend Bill and Kao to every shop/vender I talk to. The only thing I would suggest is to have your main counter guys work Monday thru Friday. Most shops order Mondays thru Fridays and its assurance knowing Bill and Kao are the two guys we can count on during the work week. Great job guys! Keep up the good work! More

Garrett not only sold me my car, he assists me everytime I take the car in for service and makes sure I am still having a good expereince. Garett assisted me through the entire process of my purchase and I I take the car in for service and makes sure I am still having a good expereince. I went to Mazda Quick Lube for an oil change & tire rotation; when I ran into John McAllister of used car sales for Nissan of Elk Grove. I had a few scratches on my front right fender & John understood my needs. I had a few scratches on my 2013 Mazda 3i fender and I wasn't going to put in a claim with my insurance. He took my car and brought it back 15 minutes later...Scratches GONE! There was no charge! Who gives service like that any more! Nissan and Mazda of Elk Grove! I had to call the owner John Greibe(sp?) and brag on his staff. P.S. I also bought this Mazda from his dealership at a great price! I brought my car in because of a check-engine light, and the guys at Elk Grove Mazda took care of it quickly and professionally. I dropped it off Monday night after closing, received a call from Josh early the guys at Elk Grove Mazda took care of it quickly and professionally. I dropped it off Monday night after closing, received a call from Josh early Tuesday confirming that I had dropped it off and also wanted my 7,500 mile maintenance service performed while it there at the dealership, and it was all taken care of a few hours later without any surprises. They even washed my car while they had it. Five-stars for the guys at Elk Grove Mazda! More

this is the second time ive had to leave a negative review of this dealership. the first time i took my car in for an oil change and to make a long story short they had my motor torn down 3 times, repl review of this dealership. the first time i took my car in for an oil change and to make a long story short they had my motor torn down 3 times, replaced parts thats didnt need replacing,would not let me have my old parts (saying theuy had to send them to the factory)-- i actually have no idea just how many parts were switched out. they had my car for a month,put a thousand miles on it, and gave it back to me with the black tape around newer cars' window frames all scratched up,and all my glass has hundreds of scratches in them, and i now have an oil leak. mind you i bought this car certifies w/ just 24k on it and had only put about 18k on it when i took it to ELK GROVE MAZDA. i had seen a young kid washing cars in a stall out back of the nissan dealership, where mazda has their work done. he was using an abrasive garage rag. i immediatly went to john and told him not to wash my car.i detail cars and have a "no touch" approach to cleaning. i asked him to write in on the work order but he told me that was unnecessary. the BAR is now involved. John hennessey told my agent he "doesnt remember" me telling him not to wash it. fortunately i re-visited the subject with him several times, once with a tape recorder in my pocket, and once while a friend was standing there listening after giving me a ride to the shop for a courtesy vehicle. i went in for a simple oil change, and was hearing a tiny rattle for just a second at start-up until the oil circulated. turns out thats normal because its still there and has been since i bought it. john hennesey told me i could take my car wherever i want and have the tape fixed, as i was no longer interested in having my car serviced here, and elk grove mazda WOULD PAY THE BILL.... until i brought it to them. Then they said they wouldnt pay. my car is now leaking oil from what i believe to be the crank seal. they replaced all my seals on the motor, put new injectors in, and did something to make the car run better than ever.... like possibly increasing the boost from the turbo, or larger injectors. what this means if in fact thats what they did the next time i go to smog my car it will not pass.no speed6's pull to the redline off the lot. its a common problem with all of them. when i got mine back it pulled all the way to the redline, thus my suspicions of extra boost or different injectors. i bought this car for 1 reason. it was a rare car i thought may be collectable in the future. now its trashed and they refuse to pay to have it fixed, but expect me to be stupid enough to take my car to them again after what happened last time. I IMPLORE YOU TO FIND A DIFFERENT DEALERSHIP. these people ALL lie, with a friendly smile on their face. Actually sounds like a typical dealership. not so. this place is REALLY BAD. never HAVE YOUR CAR SERVICED HERE. i wouldnt buy a car from here for half price either. i have better things to do than sit here and write this long review to let people know.Its my duty as a decent human being. Dont let them do to you what they have done to me. More
