They are dishonest and will blame privious employees. If you are looking for a car, do NOT buy Mazda. And if you are looking for a honest dealership, do NOT trust Al (Ali Baba) Morgan and his gang at Joe If you are looking for a car, do NOT buy Mazda. And if you are looking for a honest dealership, do NOT trust Al (Ali Baba) Morgan and his gang at Joe Machens. They will sell warranties/maintenance plans that do not exist; they will not honor their factory extended maintenance; and they will not even perform the checks in the scheduled maintenances -- even though they will later try to charge you for them. But most frustrating, the factory, Mazda, won't care if you try to report a dealership for all the above (they never got back to me after I filed a preliminary report). More

Oil change I must start by saying usually they are very friendly at the front. I went in for a oil change they didn't change my mileage sticker for me to even kn I must start by saying usually they are very friendly at the front. I went in for a oil change they didn't change my mileage sticker for me to even know when to bring my car back for the next oil change, and they didn't wash it.....i bought my car from them and have always gotten my oil changed there since I bought it from them but honestly I feel they are over price for a simple oil change and do not do anyting to make the experiance special..not being able to remember to change a simple sticker makes me wounder what else they forget.... I also had a coupon that was mailed to me that I brought in with me for the oil change i handed it to the sales person when I was checking out and was made to feel like it was such an inconvenience since I didn't hand it over when my car was first brought in. More

All they say about car dealers is true, only worse. In October 2016 I had the bad idea of turning in my leased Mazda and buy a used BMW to replace it. I went to Joe Machens (from whom I had leased the In October 2016 I had the bad idea of turning in my leased Mazda and buy a used BMW to replace it. I went to Joe Machens (from whom I had leased the Mazda) and looked at a few options before finding one that I liked. Up to this point everything was normal: the usual sales techniques were deployed against me: hyping, pressuring, playing silly psychological games – I did not mind. We agreed on a price and two days later I was in the business office signing papers. The business manager was an old-school salesman, the kind who says: your monthly payments will be 400$, then you look at him, hesitating, and he goes “OK I can get it for you, just to for you, for 350$ a month”. The first surprise came when I went to the Missouri department of revenue to get the license. I was told that I had to pay a sale tax of $2600. This extra cost (on a sale of about $35,000) had never been mentioned during the negotiations, it had been deliberately hidden and kept off the negotiation table. Was I stupid for not thinking about the sales tax? Yes, undoubtedly. Did the salesmen take advantage of my naivety? Yes, undoubtedly too. The second surprise came in December when Morgan Chase informed me that I had fallen behind in my payments for the lease of the Mazda. It turned out that Joe Machens had not yet reported my turning the Mazda to them on October 3. Almost three months had passed, during which Morgan Chase kept charging my account. It was only on January 16, 2017, more than 3 months after returning the Mazda that Joe Machens finally acknowledged the fact. Even this would not have happened without numerous calls to their sales office from me and from the investigative office of Chase Morgan. To sum up, I found the Joe Machens dealership profoundly dishonest. They do everything in their power to screw you up, and will not hesitate to create trouble for you in pursuit of their interests. I would not recommend this dealership to my worst enemy. Our town will be a better place when they go out of business. More
Great Experience! Jeff Johnson was very patient with me as I wasn't sure what vehicle I wanted. He spent time with me showing me Mazdas and explaining things to me.
