The last two vehichles that I have purchased came from Joe Machens Mazda in Columbia, Missouri. Each time I was treated with extremely friendly and out going customer service! Travis Dometrorch went out of his way to help me find the perfect vehichle for me! Buying a vehichle can be a very stressfull time, but knowing that I was working with a great dealership and had an excellent salesman, that helped take some of the stress away! I highly reccomend you to give this dealership a try, and if they don't have what you are looking for, they will help you as much as they can to locate and find exactly what it is you are wanting. I will diffinatly do buisness with them again! More
My salesperson, Carrie, did a very nice job of making car buying a pleasant experience. She was friendly and very helpful. Using my criteria to find the truck that met my needs was a breeze. Agreeing on a deal took a little longer, but in the end I believe I got a great truck at a good price. When it was discovered that passenger tires had been put on the truck, Carrie and Al were able to get everything resolved to my satisfaction very quickly and with no fuss. Finance was quick and as painless as it can be. Walter did a great job of going through my options and not pressuring me into anything I was not comfortable with. Overall a great experience. I would recommeend Joe Machens, particularry Carrie, Al and Walter to any one car buying. More
Carrie came out to the parking lot and introduced herself. She was friendly and invited me in to check on a truck I came to look at, that I had seen on the internet. After learning the truck had alre herself. She was friendly and invited me in to check on a truck I came to look at, that I had seen on the internet. After learning the truck had already been sold she showed me another truck similar to it, only newer with very few miles. It also came with a higher price tag. I was hesitant, but she hung in there, and was helpful throughout the buying process. We bought the newer truck, and ended up waiting on the financing for quite some time. Carrie stayed with us and even offered to buy our supper! She definitely earned our respect as a reputable saleslady and Joe Machens is fortunate to have her on their team. Even after the sale, I am wanting to add some details and Carrie has been nothing but gracious about this, and is working hard to make sure my Dodge Ram ends up just like I want. Thank you Carrie Price! The experience was a good one. I believe Al Morgan was the sales manager who came in and worked out the final details on the price. He definitely helped influence our decision when he started talking warranty! He drove a hard bargain, but got us the price we wanted for our trade in, and we truly appreciated that. More
Carrie Price was friendly, understanding and easy to talk to. I got a good price for my trade-in vehicle. I requested a different finance manager and they kindly obliged. We were only looking at trading vehicles. My wife and I had been talking about trading and were in Columbia for a doctor's appointment when we decided to visit a few car dealerships to see what was availab had been talking about trading and were in Columbia for a doctor's appointment when we decided to visit a few car dealerships to see what was available. We had been to 3 or 4 dealerships before JMAG and nun of them seamed interested in showing us vehicles or even finding out what we were looking for. When we pulled on to the JMAG lot a sales man greeted us and said we would be right wit us. That salesperson was Adam Hall. Adam was polite and interested in what we wanted in a vehicle. He took the time to understand that we were just looking , but if he had a vehicle that suited or needs that we were willing to trade. After driving several vehicles he showed us a CX-9 and fell in love with it. The CX-9 had every feature we wanted on it. Whit in a short time we had agreed on a price for our trade-in and left with a CX-9 that has been nothing but joy to drive. My wife drives 45 miles round trip to work every day and even on the snowiest, iciest days she made the trip thanks to the AWD of the Mazda CX-9. More

Mike Jones was awesome. The business manager, I don't know his name, but he was not friendly and made my wife and I uncomfortable. He even reprimanded the salesman in front of us is a rude and condescend know his name, but he was not friendly and made my wife and I uncomfortable. He even reprimanded the salesman in front of us is a rude and condescending manner; making us all feel even more uncomfortable . We would have given the highest ratings possible had it not been for the business manager. Mike Jones conducted himself in a professional manner at all times and was an outstanding salesman. More
My wife and I were shopping for a new car and went to Joe Machens Mazda/Mitsubishi/Fiat since it was convenient that they had all three brands in one location. Jeff was our salesman and put up with our multiple requests and happily showed us whichever car we wanted to see. After test driving several vehicles we decided on one we wanted and Jeff sold it to us at a price we were happy with. Throughout the whole process Jeff did a great job of explaining the differences between all of the cars we were looking at and wasn't the least bit pushy about buying a car. We felt very much at home and he treated us very well. This is the second new vehicle we have purchased from a Machens dealership and we've been equally happy both times. I would recommend this dealer and definitely recommend Jeff; he was very professional and is a genuinely great guy. More
This experience was the most unpleasant car buying experience that I have ever encountered. My wife and I wanted to buy a new 2013 or 2014 Mazda 5 Grand Touring. After spending most of a day on the ph experience that I have ever encountered. My wife and I wanted to buy a new 2013 or 2014 Mazda 5 Grand Touring. After spending most of a day on the phone with Machens Mazda we placed a 500 Deposit to secure a vehicle that was at another Dealer and would be brought to Machens. This seemed normal and although the price was not where we wanted it to be we wanted to see the vehicle, we came to the dealer the following day to test drive a similar Mazda 5. The drive and dealing with our initial Salesperson, Ryan Dodson, was pleasant. Once we got to this point everything we experienced was either completely incompetent or borderline criminal. The vehicle that we had placed a deposit on was sold from the other dealer according to Al (the sales manager) he brought us an alternative vehicle to look at. Now I accept that since the original car was out of their control mistakes happen. We were promised a comparable vehicle and upgrades to match. It seemed good but once we left the everything they said was an outright lie. We called the dealer who had the "reserved Mazda 5" and they had NOT sold the car. They even sent a picture to us of it on the lot. The "replacement" vehicle was supposed to be a Touring that they would upgrade. When we took the VIN to the our credit agency they showed us that the "replacement" was not even a Touring (let alone a Grand Touring ) but was a Mazda 5 base with added features. It was a total lie, the creditor could not even place the value of the "replacement" Mazda 5 near the "bargain price" we were offered. Despite repeated calls about all of these aspects no one would do anything to clarify or work to salvage the sale. We cancelled the sale and when we went to return the loaner vehicle no one would speak to us. I literally stood 2 feet in front of the General Manager Mike Zupparidi to ask a question and once he made eye contact he simple refused to answer. Simply acting as if I was not standing in front of him, we had to physically find the sales manager Al. Al made no attempt to engage or explain. This was coupled with the fact that as soon as we left the General Manager who would not move or speak suddenly seemed to notice that we were leaving without a carand didn't try to talk to us but started, literally, screaming at Al about how a customer was walking out. Even though he couldn't be bothered to answer a simple question about where Al was he finally got up and was storming around the sales floor. His screaming was so loud we heard him through the glass and all the way to our car. I could not believe that anyone could be this poor of a dealer. More
