Best new car purchase ever I had been looking for more than a month to replace my very reliable 2012 Honda CRV with something more upscale, with new features and technology, tha I had been looking for more than a month to replace my very reliable 2012 Honda CRV with something more upscale, with new features and technology, that would be more fun to drive but also practical and reliable. I always start with Consumer Reports when looking for a car. I began looking compact SUVs including a used Porsche Macan ,new and used Lexus, BMW's, RAV 4's, Subaru, Volvos and even another CRV. Everyone of them had one or more "fatal flaws" including imprecise steering, rough transmissions, difficult to use technology, reliability issues or below average interiors. Then I decided to look at Mazda and immediately became intrigued. They have a design philosophy that values form and function, a commitment to quality as well as comfort and it all centers around the driver. I watched dozens of YouTube videos of the CX5 as well as read all the latest Consumer Report articles on this car and the other models in the Mazda line. I was hooked. I don't often purchase a new car (who does) but decided to call the closest dealer, Premier Mazda in Hyannis, MA. I called first, speaking with Kevin Sanders, just to see if I'd get "straight" answers to my questions and that I could talk about what I was looking for, not just what they wanted to sell. A few days later, I met Kevin and told him that I was looking for a fully loaded , 2020 CX5, which equates to the Signature model. They did not have one in stock, so I drove a Grand Touring Reserve model which is almost the same car. After 30 minutes or so, I realized that this car was as good, or even better than all I had learned and it was just what I was looking for. Kevin said that they didn't have one in stock, a Soul Red Crystal CX5, but that they could probably get one from another dealer. Within two days, they had the car, prepped it for delivery, and in less that a week of approaching them, I have my new car in the driveway. My purchase experience was just as easy as the buying decision. I completed quick, on line application for Mazda's very attractive 0.9% financing, and showed up the next with a check for the balance. Within less than 90 minutes, I had my new car, inspected and with new plates and drove away. What I liked about my experience with Premier Mazda was that there were no long conversations where Kevin had to "....talk with his manager"....no hard sell on options or after market warranties, nothing that didn't contribute to me getting the car I wanted. Thank you, Kevin, for making this easy and fun. After my wife gets to drive my cay, maybe there is another Mazda in our future.
