Time will tell I was in for a 1000 mile oil consumption test. On My previous visit oil was added by a maxon mechanic to top off the level. 300 miles and 1 week pre I was in for a 1000 mile oil consumption test. On My previous visit oil was added by a maxon mechanic to top off the level. 300 miles and 1 week previous I changed the oil and applied 8.5 quarts of 0 20 oil. The oil I removed was a little over 5 quarts and I had added a quart between changes as my dic told me I had gone low On oil. That of course means 9.5 quarts had gone in and about 5 came out. On My latest visit I was told that the oil was at the proper level. Of course it was bc it was over filled by the mechanic and then dropped to the proper level after 1000 miles of light duty, mostly highway diving, I will add.. I shall be back after another 1000 miles and then the level will be near the bottom of the operating range or even below it. This oil consumption problem is progressively degenerating and I hope gm will honer their warranty and correct this issue. I had a 2011 Silverado with the same problem and have done extensive research on the issue, I wrongly was told that this problem was corrected by GM in their newer models before I made this purchase. I sure hope that by now it is known what is causing this oil using issue. In 1986 had a 75 nova with 125000 miles that didn't burn oil like this. It may be called consumption but everyone know it's burning. It won't be long before I'm throwing out blue smoke. See you soon. Edward p Kelly More

Last minute fix When I was dropping the kids off from school (destined for work after), the car would not go over 30 and had all kids of warnings on the screen. I When I was dropping the kids off from school (destined for work after), the car would not go over 30 and had all kids of warnings on the screen. I took the car to Maxon instead of my regular dealer and they took me in, gave me a loaner for the day, and fixed the computer glitch by the end of the day. Great job ! More
