Angie and Alan in the Service Department did a great job. They found the reason for a noise in the front end and fixed it. They found the reason for a noise in the front end and fixed it. More
Jesse Walker was very professional and courteous. He explained the service repair process and the broken seat piece was replaced. I was there just a little over an hour, so not too long of a wait. Dealership could not tell me why the build date on an Expedition ordered August 2022 was pushed out 4 times to June 2023. Our truck was there for 3 months waiting for a part, which was legit the part was on back order and that was what was wrong with the truck. The estimate for that transmission part was around $1,000. How which was legit the part was on back order and that was what was wrong with the truck. The estimate for that transmission part was around $1,000. However we were told there were multiple other problems, leaky hoses, turbos, etc which made the estimate a total of around $5,200. Fortunately while waiting for the transmission part we found a mechanic that could fix it outside of Max Ford. He looked at everything and only found the wire harness and an O2 sensor that needed repair, so over $4,000 of that did not even need repaired. Thank God he was/is an honest person. He repaired the truck in 2 days after we had it towed to him. Max Ford had no pictures to justify the "leaks", etc. they said needed repaired. We have spent a lot of money over the past 15 years with this dealership on purchasing and servicing vehicles. This was extremely disappointing. Everyone except the mechanic was very friendly as they always have been, however I am certain they don't really care. They stated they would refund our $150 diagnosis fee since the truck was over diagnosed with false repair needs, but we have never seen that check in the mail. I also have never heard back from the general manager of the dealership whom I tried to contact with concerns. So from here on out we will not be returning to Max Ford and I would suggest that others think twice before having anything more than basic service done there, because after this it seems you may have some extras tacked on that don't really exist. I would however highly recommend Gilkeson Auto Repair in Austin, Mo. Good, honest, Christian repair shop. I am sure this comment will never be posted but it is 100% the truth. More

The salesman and I started communicating March 13, on March 15, he said tech would be done inspecting it that afternon. March 16, he said that everything checked out and would be ready to pick up the fo March 15, he said tech would be done inspecting it that afternon. March 16, he said that everything checked out and would be ready to pick up the following day. In between those days on a phone call he said that I could pay a deposit to hold the truck till I got up there that would be non-refundable, but would go toward the purchase if I bought it. When he said that it would be ready to pick up the next day, he then said that was not an option and I had to decide then and get the financing done, which I did. March 17, Jake said, when I messaged him, he sent me the paperwork to sign and would arrive Monday March 20, but it did not arrive. March 20, I talked to Jake and he said that the truck was delayed because the sunroof needed repaired. March 21, he said they got all the parts to fix everything other than the sunroof, this was the first I had heard about other things needing to be fixed and does not line up with him saying it would be ready March 17th. March 24, they sent me a loaner so I could return the rental vehicle I had. April 1, they sent a different loaner because they had sold the one they originally sent. April 4, I asked for an update and was told they had just pulled the truck in to work on it. April 8, I text Jake for and update and have never gotten another update from him. April 7, I called the service department and was told that it would be done that afternoon. They also said they had issues with some of the bolts on the exhaust manifold cover, which is concerning and does not line up with it is all good and will be ready to pick up March 17. April 10, I called and got connected to the sales manager Josh, who said they had just replaced the TPMS sensor, still doesnt work, and the truck was done and would send the truck to me that day. I was concerned due to what the service department had told me a few days previous. I asked for him to send a list of what was done to it and he said he would email or send with the driver, neither happened. I called to ask about the paperwork and never got a response. I talked to a different sales manager April 14, who said he would talk to Josh and get back to me, that never happened. I got the paperwork to yesterday to sign to be able to get the bill of sale and transfer the title April 17, without the paper of work done. Also I do not know how a tech can say they did a thorough check of the vehicle when there are hornet nests on the engine. Everyone was nice until I paid for the truck, which is my fault for assuming that company much less a vehicle salesman would have the integrity or honor to follow through with what they say or continue to have decent customer service after they got what they wanted. The ONLY reason that I gave an extra star for the dealership is that they happened to have the type of truck I wanted, the use of the loaner cars, and that the delivery drivers were very nice. If not for those 3 reasons I don't think that the Jake or dealership deserve a star. I know i do not know the car sales business, but if I owned a business and this was how my employees treated my customers I would be ashamed and they would not be employed anymore. I understand used vehicles are not going to be perfect, but there are HORNET NESTS in the engine compartment, a spot that is RUSTED THROUGH, it was NOT detailed AS SAID it was, the repaired TPMS is NOT FIXED, the spedometer only lights on HALF which is a safety concern, the transmission sometimes is extremely rough like it is slipping. None of this was even communicated especially with any honesty. Looking at the situation as a whole now I believe I was lied to multiple times to get my money and I would NEVER tell another person I meet to go to this dealership. I am terrribly disappointed in the way Max Ford worked this deal and worked me, but I may be more disappointed in myself for having any faith at all in Max Ford after being lied to. More
