2 1/2 Hour Oil Change I’ve worked at 2 dealerships in the service center in my life so I know how things work and I will say this experience was rather unpleasant. To start I’ve worked at 2 dealerships in the service center in my life so I know how things work and I will say this experience was rather unpleasant. To start off, my Service Advisor was pretty nice, a cool guy to have take care of my vehicle. He got me written up quickly and told me it would take about an hour to get my service done, up to maybe an hour and a half with a wash, which I declined the wash at first. I’m sitting there and I don’t see my car go into the shop whatsoever for quite a while. I thought to myself maybe there’s other work bays or something, but then it’s coming to the 1 1/2hr time so I decided to approach my advisor and tell him to go ahead and add the wash since I’ve been waiting this long anyways. Come to find out, I see my car just get pulled into a bay. My appointment was at 3:30. My car was pulled into a bay at 5:42. The car was lifted up, oil drained, and the lift was dropped at 5:49. At 5:53 my car went around the service garage and toward the wash. Now, this is a complementary service that’s I receive because I purchased my vehicle here, but I find this to be quite ridiculous because I know exactly how the service department gets things done. Not to mention, on the R/O said a tire rotation was completed, and I can assure you that it was not done. (This isn’t a big deal, considering my car is all wheel drive, but it’s pretty darn sketchy for a service to be on my R/O that was not actually completed). So, I got my car finally around 6:05 or so, I didn’t look at the exact time, but for my appointment being at 3:30 and not receiving my car for a little over 2 1/2 hours for an oil change that took not even 10 minutes is pretty ridiculous. (Also, as a side note, I literally only live 2.6 miles from the dealership so it wasn’t a far drive at all) My service advisor was still very friendly, came up to me and said “snoozing off over there?” jokingly, of course. The only thing I’d say he should’ve have done is to give me more updates on the progress or a legitimate reason as to why it took so long. I know he can’t physically control the technicians, but again an update would’ve been nice. I’d rate my service advisor like a 3/5, but the oversell experience definitely a 1/5. More
