Usually dealership are filled with money hungry salespersons, in my humble opinion. However at Acura, Albert made sure to still showcase that he’s a human and he emphasized that he wants to make su salespersons, in my humble opinion. Previous experiences were very good. This one, not at all. I’ve had all my service there for the last year or two and always hear ‘yes everything is good, You did the recommended mainten This one, not at all. I’ve had all my service there for the last year or two and always hear ‘yes everything is good, You did the recommended maintenance so all good.’ Took car in because the battery was shot and the AC wasnt cooling again. Had it there a few months ago and they said I wasnt driving it enough, thats why the battery was always drained. Also had dye put in ac system to see if a leak. No resolution. I was there a couple hours and ghe service advisor took me to the shop saying they thought the ac issue might be the evaporator. Said battery failed which i knew. I went back to the cust lounge and eventually received a multipart ‘recommended services report for about $6200. Battery had been a warranty replacement so they said that wasnt covered. Car needs struts and control rod boots and on and on. I sat down with the SA and aaid no, not spending 6200 to fix it. ‘You’re declining all the services?’ I said The car is only worth about $1500, why would i put 6k in it? How long doyou plan to keep it? I said until the wheels fall off. The new acuras are all plastic and light weight materials. Not built to last at all. So i spent almost $300 to hear the battery and everything was bad. Replaced the battery at autozone, they honor warranties. Will find a private mechanic to work on the car because obviously, I am not planning to upgrade so no future revenue there. Love the car but not what the brand has become. More
