Lured me in with a truck that wasn't there. Bait and switch Came in to see a truck that was listed on craigslist. Numerous phone calls and emails were sent getting me to come in and see the truck. After a hal Came in to see a truck that was listed on craigslist. Numerous phone calls and emails were sent getting me to come in and see the truck. After a half hour at the dealership, I was informed that the truck 'had been sold', although the listing just came up on craigslist the night before ( I was literally at the showroom about 12 hours later). The salesman proceeded to show me a truck that was newer, had fewer features, and cost more. They asked for my keys so they could price my truck, then held on to them until I specifically asked for them back (holding keys ransom?) They offered to sell me a loan including buying out my old truck, even though I stated I was buying out the loan that week. This would have raised the principle on the loan by several thousand. Never mind there was no truck to provide a loan on! They low-balled my trade in value severally. I get that they need to make a buck and cover overhead, but at least stick with KBB values or similar. I could sell privately for almost double what they offered. Waited around for another hour while they were looking online for other trucks they could get, ended up leaving at that point. Not a very difficult vehicle to find, I found several within 100 miles at better pricing. Staff was friendly, office space was nice. I do think their vehicle warranty is good. I was not impressed by the bait and switch tactic, or holding my keys. I was not impressed by offers that increase my principle on the loan. I was not impressed by being shown lesser vehicles at higher prices. I was not impressed to see the same truck still listed on craigslist 2 days later... Still running the bait and switch. I work in sales, so I get sales tactics, but I believe honesty is still the best policy. More
