After repeatedly trying and failing to get into a new truck because of my poor credit score, I had just decided to stop trying and focus on credit repair for a while until my approval chances increased. I didn't want to settle for a truck that I didn't love. Unexpectedly I received a call from Matthews Motors, probably from the gazillion websites I visited the previous weekend. They asked me if I could stop by that day so I left work on my lunch break, all the while not thinking for a second I was going up there to buy a truck. I figured once they seen my credit score and inability to put up a giant down payment they would be just another dealership on my list of fails. WRONG. As soon as I stepped through the door I was greeted with exceptional customer service and introduced to my personal Sales Consultant Sarah Beth. We sat down and started talking numbers and what I was in the market for and honestly at this point I just wanted another truck. Preferably full size, definitely four wheel drive but I was willing to weigh my options and go from there. The first truck Sarah Beth and I test drove was a Ford F-150, and it was all the things things I was looking for in a truck. However before I even said anything Sarah Beth had read my body language and knew it wasn't the one. This is when I realized that Mathews Motors is a breed of its own in the car dealing industry. She looked over at me and asked what truck would make me over the moon happy. It wasn't about her trying to make a sale, she genuinely wanted me to drive off the lot in a truck of my dreams. I kinda snickered a bit because I knew I couldn't afford my dream truck. I've been dreaming about owning a Dodge Ram Big Horn for over a decade and still was convinced that I had a good ways to go before I'd own one. We parked the F-150 and she comes back around in this amazingly beautiful Big Horn. I didn't even want to test drive it until she assured me that there was a very good chance that they'd get me financed. Why get my hopes for nothing. So we drive it and of course I'm madly in love well before we get back. In comes yet another super friendly hard working staff member, John Krywy. When I say hard working, this gentleman went above and beyond the call repeatedly doing everything in his power to get the numbers to work in my favor. I was riddled with anxiety the majority of the time but it all worked out. This has been a few days ago now and I still cant believe that is my Big Horn in the driveway.
