Saved my Life My motor died in my previous car. I was waiting on my bankruptcy to be discharged. I had 2 jobs to go to. I got a flier in the mail and I called Matth My motor died in my previous car. I was waiting on my bankruptcy to be discharged. I had 2 jobs to go to. I got a flier in the mail and I called Matthews Motors and got Kim, the bankruptcy specialist. She was nice and warm and told me to go online and complete a application, once I completed the application, I sent over the required paper work. At this time I was introduced to Kim Miller, who was the person that would handle my finance. Kim saved the life of my family. Kim had me approved, which was no easy task. She was patient and kind as I searched the website looking for a vehicle. To top it all off I had an approval in less than a day AND ,like I stated earlier I was stranded so I couldn't get to Clayton not to mention I had to go to my part time job. She arranged to have the vehicle delivered to me at my job. To top it all off I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE CAR. I am so happy with the service and purchase and I will be sending my husband to purchase from them. I came into work this morning and even recommended Matthews Motors Clayton to my co worker who's in the process of looking for another car. More

I began using their service department a few years ago for general maintenanc I have nothing but good things to say about Matthews Motors of Clayton. I began using their service department a few years ago for general maintenance and repairs on my old vehicle. So, when it came time to replace it with something a little newer, Matthews Motors was the obvious choice. It had been over 15 years since I had bought my last car and I was a little apprehensive, but Robert (Walker) made the entire process enjoyable and simple. I did not feel pressured or rushed in any way… in the end I came away with a vehicle that fits my needs, budget and personality :)! More

Service Department Incompetent Matthews Motors Service Dept has had my car for 17 days. They cannot figure out what's wrong with it, but have replaced multiple parts. My car still i Matthews Motors Service Dept has had my car for 17 days. They cannot figure out what's wrong with it, but have replaced multiple parts. My car still isn't working. They know another dealer who can probably figure out what is wrong with it, so they say. They're not sure, but if I pay them $800 for all the parts replacements they've done and another $100 to $120 tow truck fee, they'll have the car towed to the dealer who's in another town to see if he can figure out why my car won't start. Matthews Motors even got me approved for one of their credit cards. They say I can charge $700 on that and then pay the other $200 to $220 and they will have my car towed to a place that might be competent enough to fix it. They said until I pay $800, my car has to sit disabled in their lot, because I owe them for all the parts they replaced that didn't fix the car. They first said it would be $545.58 and I said good, please repair it and thank you. Then I got a call saying that didn't fix it. They were going to try something else tomorrow. They say they have tried all sorts of things, including replacing parts they thought were defective, but it didn't help the car's problem. They have left my car unlocked every time I've been there it's been sitting there unlocked for anyone to get into. They still say they have no idea what's wrong with it, but want $800 for their attempt at fixing it and $120 to tow it to someone else so the other place can try to diagnose and fix the problem and no, they have no idea how much that person will charge me. He'll call me when he figures it out. They said the battery wasn't under warranty and the battery was barely two years old. They said the pcm might not be under warranty and the car has less than 40,000 miles on it, It's a 2015 Chevy Sonic and I bought it from them and have driven it less than 5,000 miles in 14 months. They also refused to let me use a loaner car, so I haven't been able to work. Tomorrow will be Day 18 that they've had my car and still cannot fix it. More
