While other garages have tried to sell us parts and/or services we didn't need, we have never had that experience with Matthews Motors. As a woman, I've had bad experiences with mechanics taking advantage of my lack of knowledge about cars & about good prices on repairs. Both my husband & I feel comfortable in doing business with the staff here, & I'm comfortable going in alone. They have never tried to fix something that wasn't broken or otherwise sell us what we didn't need. I like that a lot and will always do business with them because of this trust. When we needed a new car a few years ago, they gave us a very good deal on a car in a color that stole my heart & a seat that fit me perfectly right. It's good to see so many Matthews Motors logos on local cars now ~ we hope they'll always be around and that their business continues to grow. When I called, Victoria clearly explained all the documentation I needed to bring and when I arrived Pete Fowler greeted me at the door and then meticulously collected all the information needed. Pete then showed me the latest model of the car I was trading, an Impala, but when I was lukewarm toward purchasing it, he applied no pressure at all, when inside and returned with an offer on a car I wanted but thought I could not get - a Lexux Hybrid! There was no pressure on the terms and I left with the Lexus and service packages that are well worth it.
