Hard workers but not honest In May I purchased a used car from them. Leanne and Nick were friendly and helpful. They worked hard to get me financed. I was in and out with in 2.5 In May I purchased a used car from them. Leanne and Nick were friendly and helpful. They worked hard to get me financed. I was in and out with in 2.5 hours. I went in based off a giveaway promotion. I traded in a vehicle. They even worked with me to divide up my down payment majority of it that day and the next day the rest. Here's where the headache starts. I constantly was checking the account for the car I traded in. It took then 32 days to pay off my trade and to transfer the plates from the trade. This was only after I received a call from the finance company about missing my payment and receiving a letter from the state for dropping the insurance on the vehicle I traded. I could not get answer from them, so I went to their Clayton location and found out from a manager there calling Goldsboro they sent the payment late due to the person being on vacation that handles the payoffs. When I went into the Goldsboro location with the letter from the state about the trades insurance being dropped. The sales person gave it to Dennis and he said well he just bought the car. Wrong I bought it 32 days prior to the letter. He went and transferred the plate, but instead of being good on his word to pick up the paper work he was a sneak a mailed it. I received an email, when Santander received the pay off and they sent me a letter to get a refund on my GAP insurance. On Wednesday, July 11th, at 7:47 pm, I received a call from Santander that I owed the full balance on the account, because Matthews Motors put a stop payment on the pay off. I called their Wilmingtoj location, because Goldsboro closes at 7. I went in there they printed of a copy of the title and payoff letter. Dennis did not come out from his cubicle and says to Nick that he called and they said it was a glitch. I got in the car and drove away. I got on the phone with Santander and with my mother in the car. I called to verify his truth. Number 1 Dennis never called to figure this out. Number 2 that is when they informed me the payment was cancelled after they put the title in their name. I will never refer someone to them. They are frauds and scammers. They are messing up my credit but they have to fix it, they agree to the trade and paying it off and rolled a balance into my loan. They are not stiffing me with the loan they were suppose to pay off with Santander and rolled over a balance into my new loan. I think they need a better manager at this location because Dennis sucks at it. He is not friendly at all and seems to only care that he sells stuff and gets a paycheck. They never get back to you and do not like confrontation. They are not the Walking Man's Friend. They just look at their customers as a number. More
