I usually have pretty good luck at this service department but during my last visit for an oil change/maintenance I had an issue come up. The service advisor pointed out my vehicle was due for a c department but during my last visit for an oil change/maintenance I had an issue come up. The service advisor pointed out my vehicle was due for a couple of filters and also brake fluid service. I told him that some scheduled preventative maintenance work had been performed during previous visits but he assured me he would check their records to see that the brake fluid service was indeed due before they would proceed. They did the brake fluid service this time and I was charged $65.00. When I got home and examined my receipts I discovered that they had done this same service last December when I was in for an oil change, about 7000 miles ago! So now I have paid for it twice in the last 8 months. Needless to say I am none too pleased, especially when I had pointed out that some of this type of maintenance work had already been done by them during previous visits. I guess I have now learned not to trust the service department records and to always check my records closely before proceeding with any of this type of work they recommend. You let your guard down, you get burned! More
