It was only an oil change and tire rotation, so I felt like I was put on the back burner. The miles on my odometer were reset to 0000000 after service I am sorry. I have always had good service until yesterday. I had my car serviced and when I got home realized the miles on my car were reset from 49 I am sorry. I have always had good service until yesterday. I had my car serviced and when I got home realized the miles on my car were reset from 49,000 to 0. I may not be a mechanic but I do know you don't mess with an odometer on a car. When I called I was told to push a black button and that would clear the issue. I drove back to Honda, a gentleman came out and looked at the car. He pushed a button ( which was a button to reset your trip counter ) . Then he said he was stumped. Wish I remembered his name. Then he went to the department while I waited to find out what to do. I know I can't turn in my registration to the state when I had 49,000 miles and tell them that I only have a few miles now. He came back and said they replaced the speedometer and the car resets to 0. I said well you need to fix it . He was told by someone that I would have to pay 200-300 dollars to have it sent out and reprogrammed. I asked for a manager and he said call back tomorrow and ask for Mike. There isn't anything he can do . I can drive the car it's fine. Well, I know I am not taking a blame for changing the odometer and I am not paying hundreds of dollars. None of this was explained to me before or after the service that was performed. Maybe Honda was hoping I would not notice. I will contact local DOT to see how to handle if Mike is not able to help me tomorrow. More
