The Allen Family has been serving the automotive market on the Mississippi Gulf Coast since 1971! Allen Automotive started with Mr. Bert Allen who first opened GMC and Pontiac dealerships in Gulfport, MS in 1971. He then acquired Mercedes Benz and Isuzu throughout the 70s. He and his son David Allen opened Bert Allen Toyota in 1987 with David Allen as General Manager. By 2001, David Allen had fully purchased the Toyota franchise and renamed it Allen Toyota. David Allen then acquired the Hyundai franchise in 2003. In 2007, the Allen family saw a shift of generations. Mr. Bert Allen retired from the business completely and David Allen’s son Scott Allen joined the management team at Allen Automotive. In 2017, Scott Allen purchased Allen Hyundai from the Estate of David Allen after bidding against multiple other regional dealers. This is a family business. Scott and Andria Allen run the store together with Scott as the GM and Andria as the Controller. You can often find one of our toddlers here at the store keeping us motivated! We always strive to get every customer the exact vehicle they want, but with all of the variables that go into financing a vehicle, i.e. credit, down payment, price of vehicle, interest, rates, payments, etc., it is not always possible.
