We regret you had an unpleasant experience at Mathews Nissan. Thank you for reaching out to us. We appreciate the feedback, as we continuously try to improve. The vehicle you wanted to purchase was presented to you at invoice cost minus all applicable rebates. This is reflected on the paperwork, and we apologize if this was not explained clearly enough. The letter you received in the mail was sent from us as it is required by law that we send that form letter to all customers who attempted to secure financing but did not purchase from us. All dealerships in Tennessee must meet this mandatory standard and send it to all who fit the criteria. It does not in any way imply you have bad credit. A quick handshake from a sales manager, or any employee at Mathews Nissan, is a common courtesy we practice with everyone who visits. Friendliness is something we insist upon from our employees. This is also the reason for the fast food wrappers you spotted. Two soldiers had just left that office. Our finance manager was simply accommodating their time constrains and sent an employee to pick up lunch for them to eat at the dealership. We try to always take care of small details like this for customers. Again, we regret you did not have a satisfactory experience. Congratulations on your purchase, and please know you are still welcome at Mathews Nissan anytime!
