This is my second car I’ve bought with this dealership and both experiences were pleasant and great. I worked with Ed both times and he was very clear, helpful, and informative. UPDATE: I can no longer recommend this dealership. The car had a small coolant leak from day one. I didn't know what it was, so I had my local mechanic check iit out twice. Every morning when we came out we had a wet spot under the car, and it wasn't oil. Contacted Mastria, and got a promise that, although they couldn't see the vehicle right away, they would honor the 30 day warranty, which seemed appropriate. Got an appt. and drove up, they tested for a few hours, and said they didn't see anything, which was super frustrating, since I am an hour away and it was leaking every single day. They promised to fix it under warranty if my mechanic could give them more information on the location of the leak (which was pretty lame, tbh). Life is busy; it took some time to get an appointment with our mechanic and have a full diagnosis. He called and then showed me exactly where the leak was -- which apparently Mastria mechanics could not find. I finally got around to emailing Mastria in July, and they ghosted me. I followed up, again, nothing. So I sort of gave up. In Oct I got a cheery email wishing me a happy birthday, so I mentioned this still ongoing issue. They scheduled an appointment, fixed it, but DID NOT stand behind their warranty promise -- I paid $850 out of pocket. The cheap-o warranty I was upsold by Mark did not cover everything, PLUS there was a $250 deductible. And on top of that, they charged me for the "loaner" car -- without ever informing me they were doing so. I regret ever doing business with them. Buyer beware! They are only interested in selling you the car, not supporting you afterward. OLD REVIEW: Had a fantastic experience with Mastria VW! Found a car listed through carguru.com, filled out the form, was called and emailed almost immediately by an internet sales agent who could have gotten us an appointment that day yet if our schedules had allowed. Instead, went to see it the next morning, and Derek, the sales agent, walked me through things efficiently and honestly. After a test drive and talking through some options, I put down a deposit. Derek informed me he could have the car ready for me less than 24 hours later – it had already been fully serviced, but they wanted to do one last detail and clean up. Very impressive! I showed up the next morning, and a few hours later, the financials and paperwork were completed and I drove away with a spic and span 2013 Mini. Everything was really super, to be honest. The only slight surprise is that I couldn’t use my own bank/credit union loan – I had to use Mastria’s funding, which was 3% points above my credit union’s rate, even though I have excellent credit. Not super customer friendly. To be clear, this is a company policy, not something that Derek could have changed at all. Still, excellent customer service all around. More
I bought a new car at Mastria. I was lucky to have a wonderful salesperson.
