I have been a customer of Mastria Subaru for many years. When it became clear it was time to replace my 2010 Legacy, I decided to go with a pre-owned vehicle. I tend to leave most car dealerships feeling I need to shower; sleazy guys trying to take my money and unwilling to listen to my needs. We ended up at Mastria Subaru hoping to replace a car that had been shower; sleazy guys trying to take my money and unwilling to listen to my needs. We ended up at Mastria Subaru hoping to replace a car that had been 'totaled' in a near-fatal accident that had left my wife and shaken but alive. I fully expected the trauma of the accident to continue through the process of trying to replace our car. Nothing could be further from the truth. At Mastira we had found an exact replacement for our vehicle -- same model, same features, even the same color, fair price. Our trouble was that our insurance company wanted us to accept that the "fair market value" of the vehicle was thousands of dollars less than what it would cost to replace it -- even though the accident was in no way our fault. Our sales agent Bruce not only listened carefully to what we needed, he worked tirelessly with us to make sure the new vehicle would be safe and solid, and then to help us argue to the insurance company that this was a fair price and a reputable, honest dealership. In the end the insurance company agreed. Yesterday we drove our 'Lazarus' off the lot, fully paid for by the insurance settlement and with the kind best wishes of Bruce and the other staff at Mastria who had become involved in our quest. The dealership is a full hour from our home, but it may be the only dealership to which I will ever turn in the future. Ask for Bruce. I have him on my 'speed dial.' More
