Our Maserati Ghibli (out of warranty) has 59k miles on it. Instead of repairing engine shudder, our only option by your mechanic was to fully replace the engine at a cost of $28k. The car was still drivea it. Instead of repairing engine shudder, our only option by your mechanic was to fully replace the engine at a cost of $28k. The car was still driveable. No way it warranted a $28k replacement. He made the diagnosis soley on a mechanic's stethoscope. If there is a parts shortage , just say so. However, the service manager was very nice and that part was an enjoyable experience. More
