Bob, Thank you for your feedback. We are very sorry for the inconvenience. Our system is designed to notify customers when their parts arrive so that we can schedule appointments in a timely manner. In your case the parts that were ordered for you did arrive. However, they needed to be painted prior to installation making that call premature. We have discussed a different process for parts that need additional preparation before installation and will be adjusting accordingly. We are sorry that we disappointed you and will work to do a better job going forward.

Mr. Shirley, We are sorry that you are upset with the outcome of your inspection. Your vehicle was brought to our shop without an engine light on. Based on the reading of the Massachusetts Registry Computer during the inspection, which detected that an engine light had been on and had been cleared elsewhere, your vehicle was rejected. Had we been informed of this fact prior to repairing and inspecting your vehicle we would have advised you of the correct remedy to avoid a rejection sticker- to drive the vehicle for a certain amount of miles/drive cycles to correctly clear the codes from your vehicles system. This, unfortunately, was communicated after your vehicle failed inspection because we were not made aware of this important detail. Once the vehicle inspection process is initiated there is computer and video evidence recorded and submitted to the State. There is no way to stop that to prevent an unwanted outcome. The work we performed to resolve the vehicle bucking and misfire was needed to have have a passing inspection. Maybe our team should have asked if you have recently had an engine light on and cleared elsewhere to have prevented this upsetting situation. We have discussed adding that to their interview going forward. Lastly, you were not charged $35 for a recall. That $35 is for the inspection. While you may not choose to utilize our service department in the future you are more than welcome to finalize your inspection as it is paid for.
