Disappointed-this was my 3rd CRV that I bought from Martin Honda and this was the worst experience. I had to wait almost 45 min for a 2pm appointment. I knew what I was going to buy and told Carol ahe Martin Honda and this was the worst experience. I had to wait almost 45 min for a 2pm appointment. I knew what I was going to buy and told Carol ahead of time I was paying by check and to have everything ready. With COVID, I wanted things to be efficient and as remote as possible. While we were waiting to meet with Carol, she had the car brought around for me to test drive. When I went to get in, it was dirty/muddy inside. A complete mess! If you are going to have someone test drive a car they are planning on buying, make sure it’s cleaned before they get in. Put plastic down so the carpets don’t get dirty. As a result, I had to wait quite awhile for it to be cleaned. Due to the wait and the dirty car I asked Carol if she could take some more money off the car or throw in a another free oil change but she said no. When going over the paper work, I reluctantly gave my SSN and then changed my mind and asked her to white it out. Since I wasn’t financing the car there was no need for it. I asked her why she needed it and she couldn’t explain but she was hesitant to cross it out. We finally agreed that she would white it out and call me if she needed it. If you are going to ask someone for their SSN be prepared to explain why! Since I knew what car I wanted and told her ahead of time I would pay the full amount by check, I am not sure why it took over 3 hours for the transaction. Since I have had good experiences in the past with Martin Honda and I know Honda CRVs are an excellent car, I didn’t walk out but I was getting pretty frustrated. By the time the deal was done it was after 5pm, Carol offered to pair my phone with my car but I was hungry and tired, so I declined. I would have loved to have someone show me some of the features of the car and help me set some things up but at that point I needed to get home. I can’t image how long I would have been there if I was unsure about what car to buy or if I was financing the car! As a repeat customer, I would have thought I would have been treated a little better. I know Martin can do better. More
