Wanted to order a bespoke Transit. Reached out to 2 different local-to-me dealers who were unresponsive, or uninterested. Marshal Mize is 1.5 hours away, but were willing to take the order. They had only a handful of Transits on the lot and my salesman (Danny) admitted he was less familiar with them than with the numerous F-series trucks on the lot. This was January. Van finally arrived in September (thanks Covid). Fleet sales manager Jaime was mostly responsive when I'd ask about status, although it wasn't always known. He did overlook an emailed request to add glass to the sliding door, but he never confirmed it and I didn't push the issue so I suppose that's on me. In summary, it's hard to find a dealer that will special order a vehicle for you. Marshal Mize seems to have no issue doing so. No crazy fees, no silly add ons. Invoice was actually ink on paper. In 10 years when it's time to replace this Transit, I'll be back. More
