First class dealership, first class experience! I had a very good experience at Marquardt Buick GMC and a great experience working with Big Chris Williamson. I started my car shopping at the 2017 Au I had a very good experience at Marquardt Buick GMC and a great experience working with Big Chris Williamson. I started my car shopping at the 2017 Auto Show with the idea of seeing all vehicle options under one big roof. While looking at GMC, I met Chris who invited me to come by Marquardt to look at and test drive vehicles. I drove several and after many test drives over many weeks, I was able to find the right vehicle for me at the right price. I had been searching for a new car at multiple dealerships and had no luck. Most I would never go back to. In one of my last efforts I went to Marquart. They team stayed late to help me get the car I needed and were a pleasure to deal with . My salesperson, Chris Williamson, was not only very professional, but very knowledgable and personable.After everything was done Chris took the time to go over all the features of my new Buick Encore after the dealership had closed. This was the best car buying experience I've every had and look forward to working with them again in the future.I am a customer for life ! Thank you ! More
New Sierra Denali!! My truck buying experience at Marquardt was exciting, I can tell you that Marquardt has the most Denali trucks out there. I started at Sullivan GMC My truck buying experience at Marquardt was exciting, I can tell you that Marquardt has the most Denali trucks out there. I started at Sullivan GMC (They had very limited colors and only 2 Sierra Denali's on the lot) I thought they were priced too high and had no incentives to offer. Then Gary Lang had a great idea to compare a High Country Silverado to a GMC Sierra Denali side by side, when I showed up they had neither vehicle on the lot. I dealt with Eric Maines over the phone and immediately the numbers were clicking on the Sierra Denali that I wanted and the price I wanted to pay. We agreed on a Dark Metallic Slate, but when I got there the Crimson Red one took my eye and he was able to get me a great deal on that one. I had my own financing with my Credit Union before I got there. Eric Maines suggested that we try and see if Marquardt could meet it. They came within a couple of tenths. So I went with them to save me a trip downtown to pick up a check from the Credit Union. I like that one stop shopping. We had a problem with how the truck was going to be titled due to how the loan was set up but Frank White the finance guy resubmitted our application and was underway in less than 45 minutes. Frank also was able to offer us a great warranty for 10 years or 125,000 miles. My wife is also looking for a sporty SUV and the Arcadia Denali has caught her attention. Needless to say I am very pleased with the outcome and I would recommend my friends and family to Marquardt of Barrington and specifically Eric Maines and Frank White. Thanks guys! More
Did not honor commitment I am from Michigan and bought a used vehicle with "Out the Door" pricing from Marquardt. When I got the vehicle back to Michigan I found out that Marq I am from Michigan and bought a used vehicle with "Out the Door" pricing from Marquardt. When I got the vehicle back to Michigan I found out that Marquardt did not pay all the Michigan sales tax when I went to get my license plate transferred. Carey Lynch - General Mgr, told me it was my problem not theirs even though we had an "Out the Door" deal. My salesman was Jeff Schoeps. He did not honor his sales commitment to me. Neither did Frank White - Business Mgr, Eric Maines - Used Car Mgr, Carey Lynch - General Mgr (she hung up on me on the phone when I was talking to her about our deal.) Also the owner,s Dan and Kurt Marquardt, who between the two of them I had left 13 voice mails or messages with their dealer secretary and never got a call back. I would NOT recommend this dealership to anyone. Their website talks about "Customer First", "Pennicle Pledge", "Delivers on Promises", "Exceeding Expectations"....They did NONE OF THESE. This was the WORST experience I have ever had in buying a vehicle. They are the reason why used car salesmen get a bad rap. I still cannot honestly believe how I was treated by this dealership "after the deal". I do not believe this was how the original founder of Marquardt of Barrington would have treated me. I have bought 12 vehicles in my life time and this is the first time that a dealership did not honor their commitment. More
Best car buying experience EVER!! I had been tirelessly searching for a Firebird Formula for MONTHS now, & even took my husband with me to multiple dealerships, to no avail..either the I had been tirelessly searching for a Firebird Formula for MONTHS now, & even took my husband with me to multiple dealerships, to no avail..either the car was just not up to my standards, the miles were too high, or the price was not within my comfort level of spending, & I was not satisfied with the "deal" that was being offered on the car......I about gave up on my search, when I came across this flawless MINT condition beauty of a Firebird, sitting right in the Marquardt Barrington car lot! We were immediately greeted by a very friendly guy named Bob, he was very well educated when it came to this car I was coming to look at.! And Bob immediately called Eric Maines over, who took over from there. Eric was absolutely OUTSTANDING!!! Super cool guy, didn't once get that feeling you get when a Salesperson comes walking over to you. This guy knows his stuff when it comes to cars! Eric was excellent, in working with us, never once felt rushed sitting in his office, he never once pressured us to buy, just simply showed us this gorgeous car, & let my husband & I do the rest of the decision making. Eric Maines was more than willing to work with us, to make this deal happen. & I did not feel "ripped off" or "taken", after doing the deal! This car buying experience was a pleasant one all the way around, not only is my husband coming back here to buy his next car from Eric, but I would HIGHLY recommend Eric Maines, over at Marquardt Barrington for your car buying needs! ALL of the guys we dealt with, over at this dealership were nothing short of Superb. Bob, Frank (finance Mgr) included! Excellent people to deal with, wonderful beautiful huge car lot with MANY cars to choose from, & just overall a wonderful experience that I had to write about it!! Great job guys!!! My new car rides like a dream :D More
Excellence!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was looking for a deal on a used Toyota Sienna. I saw that Marquardt had one for sale but it was a bit out of my price range. Being very aware of I was looking for a deal on a used Toyota Sienna. I saw that Marquardt had one for sale but it was a bit out of my price range. Being very aware of their resale value and how the sale prices are constructed on Sienna's, their price was VERY fair, but still out of my price range. Regardless, I sent an email and made contact with Business Development guy, Bob Jackolin. I was very candid with him and emailed to him all of my vitals, including my price range, info on my trade, how much I could pay for downpayment, etc. Bob asked me to be patient and he'd ask the sales manager to see what they could do. Miraculously, he told me they would lower the price to where I needed it to be, but was very honest about the trade value of my car...nonetheless, it was enough for me to make the 1 hour drive. Once there, I was kindly greeted by Bob and then introduced to used car manager, Troy and my salesman, Eric Maines. I was VERY pleasantly surprised with how clean and modern this facility is...top-notch bathroom, too. Marquardt kind of looks small from the pictures, but this is one, huge, dealership, family owned and in business for many, many years (over 50 years, I think). Anyway, they brought the car around for me to inspect and what I LOVED was that they just let me go alone and walk around the car...NO pressure. They had it started and warming up and I could really get a good look on my own terms. I was thrilled. Then I drove it and was more thrilled. We started the process of figuring out my trade-in value, what my payment would be, etc. I was optimistic on my trade, but I couldn't get as much as I hoped for, which drove up the cost of my payment. I was crushed and ready to leave. It was then that Troy asked me to give him a few minutes before I left to work on the deal, he made a call, shuffled some numbers and got the payment down to a respectable level. To do that, he really had to work at dropping the price of the van again and raising my trade value. I just couldn't be happier with the deal. I appreciate all these guys, including my salesman, Eric Maines, who was very straight with me and really hung in there with me through this process. Thanks to all you guys at Marquardt. More
Brian redeamed this dealship Hello All, We bought two cars with Marquart before in 2014. At that time I felt pressured and not happy with one of the cars I purschased, The Buick Hello All, We bought two cars with Marquart before in 2014. At that time I felt pressured and not happy with one of the cars I purschased, The Buick Encore 2014. We had many mechanical issues. The service center was terrific but GMC & others wihtin the dealership were not to understanding as to how frustrating this was. Something told me ( I believe God) to give Marquardt a second chance. My family and I were amazed at what a difference one person can make the entire dealership seem. Brian S. was genuine and had a calming presence. He was simply wonderful with our special needs daughter including her into conversaton and making her feel comfotable and part of the "deal" : ) We walked out feeling good. Thank you to Brian and our Leasing consultant for being who you are and sharing that with us as people not just customers. More
