Warning About Mark Miller Service Department I took my Subaru Forester, with mileage of 93,477 (relatively low for a well-maintained, single-owner Subaru) to Mark Miller at Southtowne Automall in I took my Subaru Forester, with mileage of 93,477 (relatively low for a well-maintained, single-owner Subaru) to Mark Miller at Southtowne Automall in Sandy because a little oil had dripped under my car. The cause was later confirmed to be a leaking oil filter. I was also concerned that my tires might need alignment because I had gone off a curb during the recent snow storm. My appointment was at 9:30 a.m. and it was almost 1 p.m. when a service person came to tell me that they had changed my oil and also to discuss the extensive repairs that they had supposedly diagnosed. The total for their estimated repairs was $4,432.53 (replace brake shoes and drums, align 4 wheels, replace front sway bark links and bushings, leaking head gaskets, leaking rack and pinion). I had gone to the dealership alone because my husband was out of town, but when I called him, he said to hold off on those repairs until he got home. After everything that the Mark Miller Service Department had diagnosed as a problem with my car, I was afraid to drive it so I left it there until my husband returned from his business trip. We picked up my car on Friday and took it to Big O on Fort Union Blvd. in Cottonwood Heights where my husband has his company truck and other vehicles serviced. Big O did a thorough check and concluded that NONE of the repairs listed on Mark Miller's "Repair Estimate" were needed. Brakes are fine, sway bar fine, rack and pinion not leaking, tire alignment not needed. The oil filter, which was replaced when Mark Miller changed the oil, was the only source of the oil leak. And, as you can see from the Repair Estimate, I was double charged for the oil change and replacement of the leaky oil filter, which is always included in an oil change! I consider this Repair Estimate to be fraud and will seek to inform other Subaru owners to avoid taking their cars to Mark Miller for service. More

We recently were in an accident due to a recall that was not sent to owners. When working with the maintenance director here, he threw up his hands and said, "what do you want me to do?" He let us know that he does not care that more people will be hurt and that sitting in his office "is all he can do" I can't in good conscience recommend this dealer and I will tell everyone I know to stay away. I will be advocating against them at every turn. More

Hey was extremely nice and helpful from the beginning. He held the car for us for a few days so we could make a decision and got the price lowered, even though he wasn't allowed to. If you go to mark Miller I would definitely recommend working with Kevin, he was awesome! More
I bought a used vehicle They didn't tell me I couldn't take the car the same day I bought it. They knew I was going to be coming from Logan. He didn't really let me ask questions and he addressed my ex husband, and not me. Then they said it would take 7-10 days from when they got car until they get the title etc for it. Well apparently the payments weren't made so they have to wait even longer. I bought the car with cash last Saturday and I won't be able to get it until at least the 14th, but I'm sure it will be even longer. They are not honest or transparent like they claim they are. Don't even bother asking to come down in price. They just want the money and don't care about any questions or concerns you have. Or if you even get the car you just bought. They have the win win. They got my money and kept the car. At least they said they will drive it up to me from Sandy to Logan when it's finally ready. If that day every comes. I don't trust them now. I bought my car that I have before this one for 15 years and I bought it in Idaho. Things are very different now. Much better experience somewhere else long ago. I won't buy or be going back to them again. More

Safe and Reliable I recently purchased a 2005 Outback XT Ltd that needed some attention to some suspension issues. I decided after pricing numerous shops around town i I recently purchased a 2005 Outback XT Ltd that needed some attention to some suspension issues. I decided after pricing numerous shops around town it to have the Subaru experts do the repairs. Even though the cost was a little more to have the service done at Mark Miller, I sure am glad I did! The purpose of the visit was to bring the car up to speed on all maintenance required to make it a safe and reliable car for my wife. I dealt with a Service Advisor named Kevin Christensen and a Service Tech named Braden Meyers. My experience couldn't have been better. Kevin listened to all of my concerns and addressed each of them professionally. I had all four struts replaced, an alignment done and IM / Inspection. While inspecting the vehicle the Service Tech Braden Meyers identified that the lwr control arm bushings needed to be replaced. When I picked up the car I scheduled that service. I was advised that the car would need alignment after the service and that it would be done free of charge. When Kevin was unable to answer a question he reached out to Geoff Chadwick. Geoff stepped away from what he was doing to walk us out to the shop, underneath a car, and explain the issue and why the service was required. During service of the bushings Braden did an inspection of the rest of the suspension components and advised time frames for needed maintenance on each of them. He performed the alignment and took the time to make it perfect! The car now drives and handles incredibly!!!! Thank you guys for taking the time to make it right!!! No need for me to shop around for service anymore. After this experience you've earned by business for life! More
