Warrenty service I had a warranty issue with paint coming off some trim pieces on my console. The service rep said he would get the part ordered and it would be there I had a warranty issue with paint coming off some trim pieces on my console. The service rep said he would get the part ordered and it would be there in one to two days and he would call, A week went by and no call. I called the parts dept. and they said no part had been ordered, so I called the adviser that was supposed to order, He said he would check on it and call me back in a few minutes. His few minutes turned out to be two days, I called and left a message with service manager, still no return call. Finally after the two days wait, the adviser called me and said it was now ordered. Two weeks now since this was instigated, and I still have no part, More

No solution I called the Toyota help line before taking my 4Runner in for service. Toyota told me to ask the dealer to update navigation system. I sat so long wai I called the Toyota help line before taking my 4Runner in for service. Toyota told me to ask the dealer to update navigation system. I sat so long waiting for a service advisor to come out that 2 difference service techs came and apologized and said they would find someone. After rocky start I did receive my 4Runner back in a timely basis. When I asked if I could take it on a test drive to see if it was fixed I was told with a lot of attitude, You can but we won’t do anything else. We did exactly what Toyota said to do, so you need to call Toyota.” I took it down the street and it was not fixed. I went immediately went back and was told the same statement as before. I did ask to talk with the service tech. He came out and did listen. Previously I have always received good service. Don’t know if me contacting the Toyota help line caused the issue or just a bad day for the service department. More
