Long day Went in for an oil change around 11:00 on a Saturday. Also needed my car looked at because of a problem with my car shaking and pulling to the right. At 12, our service advisor told me he would have an answer for me at about 12:30 which would determine if we would stay and wait or come back. By 1:30 we still did not have an answer. In passing he told us he would check on my vehicle and then we were left waiting again. I finally got an answer around 3pm and of course the issue you were expecting is not the problem, it is something that is 10x more expensive to fix. He told my wires were showing on one of my tires and the problem needed to be resolved but suggested I come in almost a week later. Seems to me that driving on a tire with the wires already showing is a bad idea and his suggestion of waiting a week makes me question everything he said. We settled on bringing the car in on Tuesday morning. Then as a way of ensuring that I would actually come back to fix the problems with Toyota on Tuesday, the advisor tried to get me to put off paying for my oil change. That doesn’t seem to be a very good business practice since I’m not signing anything that guarantees my return. I won’t be returning by the way, I ended up buying a new vehicle from another dealership. I’ll sell my car to someone that wants to put more money into it. I will probably use the Service center again because you are the closest Toyota dealership but until your pricing can complete with other just as knowledgeable and qualified mechanics, ill just be in to get price quotes and to have my car checked for issues. More
