Overall, I GUESS I would recommend these guys and wish I could give them more stars, as most of the way through the process of buying a really nice used Lexus SUV from them last fall they were pretty good ( could give them more stars, as most of the way through the process of buying a really nice used Lexus SUV from them last fall they were pretty good (BUT DEF READ ON!). Once we got to the negotiation process there were a few typical dealer shenanigans going on (ugh!) with their very high "unavoidable and required by NC State law" document fees (absolutely NOT true), but in the end, I guess they wanted to sell the vehicle badly enough that they somewhat split the fees with me by dropping the price of the vehicle a little more. Otherwise, they were very accommodating, as we were buying from one state away and they made the process pretty painless and even sent me a really detailed walk around video so we would know exactly what to expect. The only OTHER REAL BEEF I have is that this car takes a Micro SD card that ONLY Lexus can provide and is programmed EXACTLY to that VIN of the vehicle. No other card will work and no cards you might find on eBay, etc. used or otherwise, for sale cheap will work, not even the exact same Lexus part number. Not a one! We weren't told about this until we made the 8 hour plus drive to get the car. The salesman let us know during the test drive, one of those "oh, by the way" statements. VERY frustrating because that simple, tiny little SD card costs well OVER $1,000 from a Lexus dealership/OEM parts seller and it's about a $300 labor charge to get them to program it to the navigation and entertainment system. So we're driving a car with navigation that doesn't work and a few other features that do not work because we're not about to pay that kind of money for an SD card when our phones work just fine for navigation (and better actually). The annoying thing is, the system is constantly searching to connect to the missing SD card, so you have to bypass that intentionally before driving if you want a useable experience with the rest of the infotainment system. I just wish they had told me UP FRONT! I'm sure we still would have bought it because we wanted that car exactly, as it was basically a clone of another one we already owned. However, I obviously would have tried to negotiate the price lower to make up for the missing piece of the vehicle and I never thought to ask about something like that because I NEVER imagined it would be missing from the car!! Apparently the former owner removed it, paranoid that her personal information would go to its new owner, when all she had to do was wipe her info from it prior to trading. I did ask when we were signing the paperwork and handing over the check if they would please get us one from Lexus at their cost, and they sort of vaguely said they would pass the request on to some higher up, but of course we NEVER heard from them and even one time when I asked about it in an email it was just ignored. Definitely felt like it was kind of one of those "we got your money now, sucker, so what are you going to do about it, have a nice life" situations, which somewhat soured what would have otherwise been a great car buying experience (cue the negative dramatic theme music). As much as I try to forget about it and downplay it, that fact just won't go away in my mind, especially since I'm reminded of it EVERY time we get in the car to go somewhere! I truly thought these guys were one of those hidden gems in the car sales business, but obviously not 100%, even with their very good reviews from other customers. So... the moral of the story here is, if you choose to do business with these guys, cross your t's and dot your i's ALL the way through, so that you're 100% aware of the deal you're getting and what's going on with the car you're buying, as much as possible! Buying across state lines, sight unseen, we were unable to do that. So maybe we stick to good old fashioned, buying locally next time! Not the first time we've had issues buying this way, so I think we're def done with that! Thanks for reading! More
