Marion Jeep Chrysler experience June 12th 2023 I walked into Marion Jeep Chrysler at 1:40 after an hour drive to the location. I explained to Chris who had reached out in a text to me to come in and we can do the paperwork to sell my car to the dealership for the 18,840.00 that they offered me through KBB.Com He did his due diligence took about 45 minutes to an hour and then said ok my manager is out of town and I am waiting for an email from him to approve the transaction. I asked how long it would be he said he didn't know. We were approached by a couple salesman asking if we were ok because we were walking around the lot and we stated we were not trading in just waiting for Chris. We decided to go to lunch after 2 hours of being there. Chris called us about 45 minutes later and said he is ready to come back and pick up your check. We got back about 10 minutes later. He sat down and shook my hand and said glad we had a deal. He then went to explain that he would not be giving us the check today. We had a payoff amount that was confirmed earlier in the transaction as I presented him with all that paperwork when we first got there. He stated it is a North Carolina Law that they could not give us a check without physically having a title. If this law was true why was that not told to us when we got there almost three hours ago? We found out that Chris was Lying. There is no law in NC that prevents the transfer. I questioned and said so I couldn't even trade in the car today to buy another because I don't hold the title he explained unfortunately. He then said we will mail you a check in 14 business days once I sign the car over to them now and they receive the title. I said this is something I have never heard of and he then reiterated that it is the law. I said Well I am not comfortable signing my car over to you with a handshake of my 12,200 balance that may come in 14 days. He said He understood. Again, why waste both of our time when you knew the situation from the beginning? Where you setting me up hoping I would use the funds for a new vehicle after walking around the lot for hours because there was no place to sit inside? With exception to the service area? So, I left. As frustrating as I was my wife says try CarMax. their offer was 300 lower than the two other places with KBB. So, I did. CarMax explained the whole process and in 45 minutes I had a check in my hand. They were incredibly professional and did exactly what they said they were going to do. I don't know what kind of game that Marion Chrysler was playing however my only repercussion is to share my experience on social media as to hope no others are wasting 5 hours of their day to be lied to about a law that does not exist. I couldn’t even imagine the games they would play or the “doc Fees” they would have added on if I purchased a vehicle. More
Poor service. Ordered part without first diagnosing the problem. Have vehicle for one week past scheduled o appointment. Then when they finally looked at it, told me it wasn’t the part they ordered and that I still had to pay for the part. What automotive service center schedules a repair without first assessing the problem to see what parts they will need to do the job. I had to drive it to a competent nearby service center to get my vehicle repaired correctly and affordably. They then had the nerve to charge me for a diagnostic service that should have been done in the very beginning. Their reply? It was all my fault. Really?! I wouldn’t take my lawn mower there for service More

I arrived on time at 8am and checked in at the service counter and proceeded to let the lady know I needed an oil change, tire rotation, check engine light and check brakes. To make a long story short I was there for over 4 hours waiting for my Jeep. I asked about it four to five times and all I received was excuses and putting the blame on the mechanics for not passing the word on to to whoever was next in line to do the next job. Not a happy camper. More
