Recently had my 2017 Toyota Tacoma at Marietta Toyota to repair a wire loom that had been chewed through by some rodents. I had already repaired the loom by splicing so I knew exactly what was wrong with t repair a wire loom that had been chewed through by some rodents. I had already repaired the loom by splicing so I knew exactly what was wrong with the vehicle (and the approximate cost of repair). Made an appointment and showed up on time. My service manager was Brian Kessler who initially while gruff seemed to be a fairly good individual. A couple of hours after dropping of the truck I get a phone call from Brian telling me that the repair will cost $3200. Of course I was flabbergasted and asked for the specific part number they were recommending for replacement. I looked up the part number and it was for a 95 Tacoma. I called back to Brian and explained that this was the wrong part only to receive an attitude like I didn’t know what I was talking about. Tells me he will look it up and call me back. 30 min later he calls and admits I’m right but hasn’t looked up the correct part number yet. 45 min later he calls back with the supposed right part number which is indeed for a 2017 Tacoma but again it is an entire engine loom that after careful examination on a schematic shows that it still won’t connect to the number 1 cylinder port fuel injection system and that it would not solve the problem. Now this part and labor would have cost $2500 to install. I call back yet again and try to explain the situation and again I get an attitude like I don’t know what I’m talking about. Finally the parts manager goes out to my truck and looks at the loom and comes back with the proper part, $26.15 and 1 hour of labor to install. In the meantime Brian took the attitude that he bent over backwards to make this work when in reality if I had not done my due diligence I would have been ripped off for thousands of dollars. This dealership should be avoided at all costs. They are rip off artists of the highest order and avoid Brian Kessler if you use this dealership, he is dishonest and dissociative! More
