Hello Ted, Thank you for your feedback. We apologize that you did not have the experience that you wanted with our sales associates. To clarify, the USAA Auto Buying Program we participate in has a very simple process. The MSRP discount for the vehicle model you have selected along with our Dealer Fee is clearly marked on your USAA Certificate. As the program states, you print your certificate, bring it to the dealership and pick out the vehicle that is in stock that matches your needs. We have a large inventory with a variety of equipment, accessories and color combinations for you to choose from. Once you select the vehicle you desire, we apply your USAA Certificate discount to the MSRP. We would add only our Dealer fee and sales tax, tag and title (depending upon your county & state of residence). From our internal discussion, Mr. Glover was trying to explain to you that if your brother could go to our website and pick out a particular vehicle, you could simply use the USAA discount off MSRP and know what the price would be (plus whatever his local tax, tag and title are). Unfortunately, he was not able to explain that to you before you chose to lose your temper and direct foul language at him. At that point, he chose to terminate the conversation, as would anyone whom was spoken to that way. The USAA Car Buying Program is a simple and easy way to purchase a New Toyota. The process reduces confusion by allowing a buyer to select a vehicle in stock that they prefer, and quickly know exactly what their price on that particular car will be. Again, we regret that we were not able to help you find your brother the vehicle he desired but do hope you are able to help him find the vehicle he needs.

I understand how the auto buying process works with USAA, and yes there are color combinations and accessories and such that affect the price along with your dealer fees and taxes. I asked for this information and, again, all I got in response when I asked from your salesperson Mr. Glover was 'We will not send a detail breakdown quote with you being in Birmingham, AL for you to shop us with your local dealer.' That was it, nothing else. Again, I don't even live in Birmingham, AL so why would your salespeople start off confrontational with a response like that? I called and he would not give information at all and I asked why and he said no we will not be giving you that information or any additional information. Telling someone you won't give them prices of what your fees are and what cars are available along with accessories on them, this isn't a ridiculous request but I was treated as such. No other dealership had any issues giving me the information I asked for except yours, and to ask someone to come in blindly off that and just take a shot at it is not a way to do business. You do not need to explain the whole process, your salesperson wouldn't even do that before which you may want to coach on. Any of this could have been avoided and you possibly get a sale if you coached your people to SELL and to build relationships and rapport rather than push them off. And to try and villanize me as a customer in this just shows even more how your dealership works as this is untrue. I was admittably upset (not with foul language) and rightfully so with the way your dealership treated me and from responses I have gotten I am not alone. I had called, emailed you and left messages before leaving any reviews to which you did not respond on anything until I left a review.

Thank you for your feedback. To clarify, this visit occurred two years ago in October of 2012. Your vehicle was in for a warranty repair in October of 2012. You were provided a rental car at no charge. The parts took several days to get in and the repair was completed in a timely manner. We attempted to contact you at the phone number provided, but the phone number was no longer in service. Our team did not notice any damage to your car at the time the repairs were completed, however, the vehicle was sitting in the parking lot for several days until you came to pick it up. When you arrived to pick it up, the scratches were discovered. Our team discussed it with you and agreed to have the scratches repaired – at no cost to you. You were also provided a rental vehicle again while the scratch was repaired – again, at no cost to you. We understand that you are upset that (1) your car needed a large repair (that was covered under warranty) and (2) that your vehicle was scratched while awaiting pick up, and we feel we have provided you with a reasonable outcome. We repaired your car and provided you a rental car to drive while it was being repaired at no cost to you. Unfortunately, we are not able to replace your car with a new car simply because it was scratched and/or needed repair. We always encourage feedback from our customers and are willing to work with them, in a reasonable manner, to correct any issues that may occur. Thank you again for your feedback.
