Complete Frauds Car buying nightmare from xxxx! I came into Marietta Toyota to purchase a 2017 Camry. I already had an approved loan through Capital one which I was c Car buying nightmare from xxxx! I came into Marietta Toyota to purchase a 2017 Camry. I already had an approved loan through Capital one which I was currently using for my 2010 Camry. Capital one had advised me that if I wanted to keep my 2010 they would also finance my 2017 but since I had no need to drive to cars I did a trade in. My loan was for $25,000 so that was enough to cover my balance and the new car. Keep in mind my loan for the 2010 was only in my name which I have proof of. Everything went good until about 2 weeks later when I realize they had scammed an extra $302.07 from me. The loan amount included my pay off amount but two days after a payment was token out of my account. I called Capital one because I thought that would be something on their end but they told me that Marietta Toyota knew that a payment was coming out and shouldn’t have included that amount in my contract. So, this is when the nightmare started I called Marietta Toyota about my payment then they tell me that the title has two people name on it. I said that is not true because the loan is in my name and it should only be in my name. They told me when I refinanced my car Capital One never made a new title. That has nothing to do with me. That’s when the phone calls began and they wanted me to commit forgery. A guy by the Kerry Westbrooks called me about the title. He said that he wanted me to come in and pick the title up and take it to the tag and title office in College Park, forge the other person’s signature which I have on recording and just tell them that he is out of the country. As I kept telling everybody who called me. I have no clue where this guy is. I haven’t talked to him since 2011, I didn’t even know he was still on the title. Capital one never gave me a problem. He also called Ricky Gilbert and Ann Mims in the office to put more pressure on me to forge a signature. They even typed a letter had it notarize before I even read it by an employee “B. Houze” which I will be reporting her to Superior Court of Notary. That is prohibited to notarize a letter without them actually seeing the person and verifying their identity. So that day I said sure I would because I was being pressured by all 3 employees. They said they will never know just sign his name. I told them just give me my car back. They then told me we can’t do that. We sold it. I said what, ok. I then left and called a lawyer. She told me don’t do that it’s against the law, just get your car back. So, I then waited for them to call me and said just come pick the title up I don’t feel comfortable signing another person signature on a title. I will sign my name but that’s it. So I went back into the office 4/19/2017. That’s when more pressure and threats came. They called Kenny Westbrooks the master minder of it all, general manager, Ricky Gilbert, and Ann Mims. They basically said so you’re not going to help us and sign the name. I said no. Then they presented me with a generic letter from and attorney by the name of Keith A. Meador, threating me that I have 10 days to sign the other person signature or they are taking my car. Then Ann Mims yells at me and says “ We can take the car right now” I responded take the car then but I want my old car back. She said that’s not possible it has been sold. The way I have been treated is ridiculous. They should not be allowed to work in this type of field. They need to all be in jail. I can’t believe they really want me to commit forgery or threaten taking my car. I told Capital one what they plan on doing and they said they owe them money if they even attempt to take my car. I am going to report them to every agency possible. They owe me an apology and my money back ASAP!! More

Pre purchase inspection I took two 4runners in for a pre purchase inspection, spending $240, I was told by the mechanic that the 4runner was in excellent condition and there I took two 4runners in for a pre purchase inspection, spending $240, I was told by the mechanic that the 4runner was in excellent condition and there were no issues inside, outside or mechanically. I was also told by the mechanic that there was no lift or leveling kit on the vehicle. I was excited to hear this and went ahead and purchased the 4runner, driving home to Chattanooga that evening I noticed the instrument panel didn't light up, I then had issues with the 4runner shaking while driving, I took it in to a different service place and they explained to me that the leveling kit was bad quality and the tires were unevenly worn. So it is apparent that the mechanic didn't even inspect it, if they did they would have found the instrument panel didn't light up, the tires were in poor quality, and that the lift was bad. I tried calling in, was hung up on. I left a message and never heard back. I now have to spend $2000 to fix the leveling kit and because it has a fancy suspension system I have to replace the struts and shocks as well. I would have never bought a vehicle with a leveling kit or lift on it. Don't go there. I'm thinking of hiring an attorney to deal with as they won't offer any help other than to say sorry. More
Horrible Customer Service My 18 year old Nissan Altima completely broke down and I walked across the street to Marietta Toyota to buy a new car, from the mechanic shop. Initial My 18 year old Nissan Altima completely broke down and I walked across the street to Marietta Toyota to buy a new car, from the mechanic shop. Initially, the sales representative was very nice. As per the sales manager, the deal included a 5 year 0% APR payment program and also a free Sunroof installation by a third party. After the deal, when the paper work was taking place, the accounts person gave me a surprise by saying it is going to be a 4 year payment program with 0% APR. I had already spent around close to 2 hours with the sales person and the sales manager. I was reluctant to agree to this new 4 year payment program, rather I suggested to the accounts person to put me on the 5 year plan as agreed by the sales manager. In discussion that took place between me and the accountant, the accountant was rude enough to ask me to “Get out” of the room, if I don’t agree to this new payment terms. Either way, things settled down with the help of the sales manager and the sale was made. I did some research about the sunroof that was going to be installed in my new Toyota Camry and figured out that the sunroof was of very cheap quality. The reviews gave me the impression that this sunroof would leak during heavy downpour, or had to be fixed frequently. I went back to the dealer and asked the same sales manager, who sold me the car, if he could reimburse me some money, if I don’t go with the sunroof installation. He denied any reimbursement but at the same time he was arrogant enough to tell me that he would charge me money if I come back to him for any other discussions. I would never buy anything from this dealer again. More
Hostile Family Owned Dealer Marietta Toyota - Advertises they are family owned an operated. My experience would lead me to believe another type of "Family" is running it. I Marietta Toyota - Advertises they are family owned an operated. My experience would lead me to believe another type of "Family" is running it. I saw an ad for a 2017 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab TRD Off Road with Premium and Technology JBL audio package on their website. VIN 5TFAZ5CN3HX026318 Advertised price $35,014. On 11/18/2016, I called the dealership and spoke to salesman Justin Gispert who advised it was on the lot, I could come by to see it and that he would have it pulled around. When I arrived, he had not pulled it around and so we went out to the lot. We could not find it. He came back and said that the person who takes care of the website made a mistake and put the wrong options on a Tacoma they had on the lot (which didn't have those options). I asked him if they would honor the ad price with the same options listed in it and he said he would check but thought that they would. We went inside and the sales manager (Andrew Austin) was not available so the Finance Manager Pete (Spanks?) came over and looked me right in the eye and said they would absolutely honor the ad price with the more expensive options on the truck. (Would have been $32,514 w/$2500 Costco discount). Mr. Austin called me later that evening and said they would honor the price but would have to arrange to get the truck with those options from another dealer or they would order one for me. He said he would contact me on Monday November 21 to confirm if the truck he found in Florida was still available. He did not call on Monday so I contacted him and he said the Florida dealer would not be in until Tuesday. I spoke with Mr. Austin on Tuesday and he then advised be that he would not honor the agreement we had the previous week but would give me the discount off the higher priced option truck in Florida ($38,774.26). After going back and forth, I finally asked to speak to his manager. He gave me the number for Mr. Jim Greenhaw. I called Mr. Greenhaw and asked him if it was a good time to talk. He asked who I was and I gave him my name. He asked what I wanted and started to tell him what had transpired so far. He cut me off and said in a very rude tone, I know what your story is and I'm not giving you that large of discount on that truck. Then he starts to rant about who gave out his cell number and that he is in the middle of a meeting. He said let me give you my office number at which point I said that is not necessary given his tone with me. He hung up on me mid sentence. I called back to the dealership and asked to speak with BJ Hope, their general manager. The receptionist told me he would be out until that Monday. Mr. Hope never called me back. At no time during any of my conversations did I raise my voice or do anything other than question them on not keeping their word. I started to think about the chain of events and it seemed like they were trying to bait and switch my sale. So I went back on their website and found the exact same ad, VIN number and pricing still up on their website almost a week later. If it was a mistake by their web team then why would they not have pulled the ad so as to avoid having other customers running into the same scenario? I also found the same truck advertised on Edmonds.com. I checked on November 28th and they still had it up with the premium options. On November 29th, the premium options had been removed. (I believe this was due to my complaint to Costco on November 28th, it was their discount I was using on the truck). There were also several comments on review sites that mentioned bait and switch or shady tactics by this dealership. Ironically, another dealership gave me a better deal so it makes you wonder what they are up to. Do yourself a favor and steer clear. More
