Very good experience My salesman was very nice and helpful. I really like the car I purchased. My car has so many new features that I'm trying to learn how to use. Toyota is still selling defective products After 25+ years of Honda ownership and never having a single problem I decided it was time for a change and purchased a new 2016 Tacoma from Marietta After 25+ years of Honda ownership and never having a single problem I decided it was time for a change and purchased a new 2016 Tacoma from Marietta Toyota. Took the Tacoma in for service and was informed that there was a SAFETY recall and they could not release my vehicle unless I signed a waiver. I would not and then I was informed that my vehicle would have to stay there and the parts would not be there for two or more months. This has really negatively impacted my life since I am in the middle of a move out of state and I will never purchase another Toyota again. A lemon law attorney will be reviewing my case after 30 days and hopefully I can get back into anything more reliable than a Toyota. More
Dishonest Old World Tactics on Back End I would like to preface this by saying, I have _never_ and I mean _never_ had a finance manager back door me at a dealership, until my purchase with M I would like to preface this by saying, I have _never_ and I mean _never_ had a finance manager back door me at a dealership, until my purchase with Marietta Toyota. 2016 Toyota Corolla S-Plus All negotiation has always been honored by the finance manager/closer, after coming to an agreement with the Sales Staff. (Though negotiation can be a bit uncomfortable at times, by design.) The finance manager at this dealership, took me off guard, by miscalculating the Tennessee tax, and plugging in $4000.00 for my trade, when we had agreed to $6000.00. He then deducted $2000.00 from the cost of the car. Seems like a fair swap, right? No harm done. (Bottom line remains the same, and the overall purchase price doesn't change.) WRONG!!... When they do this, the Dealership receives less on the SALE of the new vehicle, (Making it up on the back end with the vehicle traded.) and thus has to pay LESS in tax for that financial Quarter! When the Dealership lowers the TRADE value, the BUYER gets less tax credit from the State, toward the NEW vehicle, and get's stuck with HIGHER taxes! Long story short, I got hit with $758.00 MORE in taxes, than I should have, and got the nasty news at the DMV, when trying to register two weeks later. THIS WAS COMPLETELY INTENTIONAL. I was fit to be tied, and called them on the "mistake". The staff at Marietta Toyota apologized, and offered to make it right. Ultimately, the sales and finance manager said they had approved cutting me a check for the tax overage, but when push came to shove, stopped answering my calls. (I treated them with nothing, but kindness.) AVOID this dealership. They need to make some major cultural changes, and correct the open dishonesty. More
Sorry doesn't always fix it Never again!!! Screwed up on figuring the taxes on the truck I bought and had to shell out the extra money for the taxes which I wasn't expecting to Never again!!! Screwed up on figuring the taxes on the truck I bought and had to shell out the extra money for the taxes which I wasn't expecting to spend. Totally their mistake. They even admitted it. The part that made me so mad was the fact that I specifically asked if he had the correct tax rate. He makes a call and asks someone. I later found out that he had called someone who had family in Tennessee. Really? Just cause he had family in Tennessee he knows the tax rates? Not a big deal when it's someone else's money though apparently. And to boot the truck spent the best part of the first week I owned it in the shop. Will never consider this dealership again. Continued: I finally got my call that was promised. It was agreed that it was on the fault of the dealership. But all I received was a "sorry". When I make mistakes I pay for them. Apparently they don't. You would've thought my repeat business down the road would've meant more than a couple hundred bucks. Cause had I been done right, I would have came back. But never again More
Frustrating Sales manager was nice, helpful and not pushy. However, everyone else involved in the sales process of two new toyotas were complete morons. The pri Sales manager was nice, helpful and not pushy. However, everyone else involved in the sales process of two new toyotas were complete morons. The pricing guy was condescending and the financing team made mistake after mistake. A customer should only have to only deal with one person (sales manager) and not be pushed around the different departments to buy a car. More
