Love the car...but had to work WAY too hard for it. Bottom line: I walked out of Marietta Auto Sales with a great vehicle, but the experience left my wife and I exhausted. I would tentatively recommend this business to others, but with the caveat that buyers (1) get a pre-purchase inspection and (2) pay very close attention to every detail. The staff are generally friendly and helpful, but the business as a whole could do much better in order to make this a better experience for the buyer. Initially the process went relatively smoothly. I worked with Mr. Chuck Nunn, who was very personable and did a good job of accurately describing the car in our initial phone conversations. He worked with me throughout the process as well and was one of the bright spots of the day. When it came down to agreeing on price and an additional repair needed for the car, however, too many other people began to get involved such that I was never quite sure who was making the decision. As a result, the process broke down and the agreement that I thought I had made with Marietta Auto Sales (to have the front and rear brakes repaired) was not fully honored. Eventually, the floor manager credited back a small amount of money to me; but I walked away not quite sure if I had been taken or not. At the end of the day, I have a great vehicle. It required some follow-up work with my mechanic to repair a few things (servicing, new battery, new brake rotors and pads); but that's not shocking given that it's a used car. The process of buying it, however, was painful in the end. I would like to assume that most of the problems that I encountered came about due to miscommunication rather than dishonesty; but I left at the end of the day not too sure. I would encourage Marietta Auto Sales to improve the process by empowering one person to make the sale, rather than conducting sale-by-committee; and I would encourage buyers to pay close attention to the details throughout. More
