Dishonesty I initially thought that this was the best car buying experience I've ever had. I found a car online (great car, low miles, below market asking price) I initially thought that this was the best car buying experience I've ever had. I found a car online (great car, low miles, below market asking price), I applied for the loan online and was approved. I received a call the next day from the internet salesperson who gave me some ridiculous rates and payments so I declined the purchase. After thinking about it, I called the dealership back and asked to speak with the Finance Manager. In speaking with him, he informed me that the rates were from their two top finance companies...rates well above 25%. Now, I had recently been approved for rates under 5% at several dealerships in the days prior. I informed the Finance Manager of this and that's when he decided to try to get me a lower rate. Which, once I told him I was approved for a much lower rate with Wells Fargo, he contacted them and they gave me a 7% rate. When I went in to see the car, I dealt directly with the Finance Manager, not once did I deal with a salesperson...which I thought was great. Well he informed me that my new finance company, Wells Fargo, REQUIRED that I carry GAP insurance in order to receive the low rate. However, he did decrease the amount of the GAP from $1000 to $599 after I questioned it, but he still insisted that it was mandatory. The additional GAP coverage increased my monthly payment because it was being financed and, because I was buying a new car out of necessity (mine was totaled in an accident), I really didn't want to increase my monthly payment and I stressed that to him several times. Shortly after purchasing the car I was contacted Wells Fargo to welcome me as a new customer. I asked the representative about the mandatory GAP coverage and she informed me that they did not require it. I read my contract for the GAP and saw where I had 30 days to cancel it so I immediately contacted the Finance Manager at Marietta Auto Sales. He was noticeably unhappy with my decision and told me that Wells Fargo charged the dealership fees for my loan and that he couldn't legally pass those fees on to me so that's why he sold me the GAP insurance (and he said he shared that with me when I signed my contract...NOT). He also threatened to take my car back and resend the contract because the fees had to be covered and if I wasn't going to keep the insurance I could just return the car...NOT. I knew the car, at that point, belonged to me and the only one that had any rights to it was Wells Fargo. He said he would speak with his General Manager and get back to me. Nevertheless, he emailed me the document to cancel the GAP and informed me that once they received the check from the GAP company, he would forward it to my finance company (which should take no more than 6 weeks). Fast-forward almost two months later...the GAP was never canceled. When I called the GAP company, they said they never received the cancellation. Ironically, when I contacted the Finance Manager at Marietta Auto Sales, he faxed the form immediately and made up some story about them not being able to read the first fax (but it was supposedly sent two months ago and no one contacted them to say it was illegible). The GAP insurance company cancelled the insurance when they received the fax on yesterday. The Finance Manager said that once they (the dealership) receives the check from the GAP company, he would forward it to Wells Fargo. Well, he emailed me a copy of the document he sent over to the company to cancel the insurance and it clearly states that the dealership is responsible for the reimbursement. Not to mention, I spoke with 3 representatives at the GAP company who all said they only receive a fee for managing the insurance but any reimbursements come directly from the dealership (and I have an email from them stating the same). Unfortunately, the Finance Manger at Marietta Auto Sales is not the most honest person and I have all of his contradictions in emails, on the document that HE sent me, as well as an email from the GAP insurance company stating again that they don't send out any funds, the dealership does. Also, I have been unable to get a straight answer about who the General Manager is and how to get in touch with him...supposedly no one knows his email address or phone number. I really thought this was a good experience but it turned out to be the typical "shady used car dealership" experience. I really hate being taken advantage of but more than that, I hate be lied to and lied on (when Wells Fargo contacted the dealership about the issue the Finance Manager told them that I lied). I know this is a long review but I wanted to paint the full picture. Buyers beware if you go to Marietta Auto Sales. AND, they gave me the car on empty and when I asked about gas, the Finance Manager had one of the "new" sales people to put a drop of gas in my car with a red, plastic gas container. I bought a Prius C people...it cost less than $15 to fill my tank...SMH. It's almost 3 months since I cancelled the GAP insurance and the dealership still has not sent the refund to my finance company. More

The customer service is HORRIBLE, they staff clearly lies to make a sale and their vehicles are NOT INSPECTED thoroughly as they state they are. We were told that the vehicle we bought was "fully inspected and serviced" and that it was in "excellent condition." We were also told that we could not get what was originally quoted to us on our trade in because the 4x4 wasn't working (which was told to them from the get go). After we drove 3 hours to get there, we decided to purchase the vehicle (an Audi Q7). The "tire pressure" light was on, and we were assured this was only because the car had been sitting on the lot. Wrong-there was a faulty tire plug in the front right tire that had to be fixed immediately when we got home. Then, the following day, the "check engine and brakes" light came on. I took the vehicle to have it inspected and was then told that the brakes were completely gone, the vehicle needed all new rotors, there were 3 places were oil was leaking and it needed a new brake pump, which was a total of about $2500 worth of work. After MULTIPLE phone calls and emails, the manager NEVER returned my calls or emails and made me do all communication through the service manager (who I never met). They REFUSED to pay for the oil leaks to be fixed, stating that this was not something that they could not help. They also at first refused to pay for brake pads or rotors and said I would need to bring the vehicle all the way back (3 hours) in order for them to fix this. When it was all said and done, I was able to get new brake pads but I am now trying to get the oil leaks and brake pump fixed, which is a cost of around $1300. Lastly, the GPS is not working, and we were told that the car did not come with GPS, although after much investigation the car does come with GPS, but the software wasn't installed, so this will need to be purchased, which is another $200 or so. I will NEVER go here again and highly recommend that you don't either. More
