Excellent Service I initially wanted a car that I had seen online but due to a change in circumstances I was unable to qualify for financing on that particular vehicle I initially wanted a car that I had seen online but due to a change in circumstances I was unable to qualify for financing on that particular vehicle (pricing). The salesman Mike recommended a reliable car that fit my situation so that I could at least get back and forth to work. His concern was my safety, which was great! Everyone was friendly and professional, and I was able to pull off of the lot with the car Mike recommended without any issues. I will definitely be recommending others to Marietta Auto Sales, and will be back for financing on another vehicle in the future! More
Out-of-state purchase - worth going the distance Our thanks goes out to Robert Greely at Marietta Auto Sales in Marietta, Georgia, for making our purchase of a 2004 Toyota Avalon as smooth and easy a Our thanks goes out to Robert Greely at Marietta Auto Sales in Marietta, Georgia, for making our purchase of a 2004 Toyota Avalon as smooth and easy as possible with the minimum of after-purchase surprises that can be expected when buying a ten-year old car. Robert made our trip to Georgia from Texas, to pick-up the Avalon, worth the journey in order that we could buy just the vehicle we had been looking for but could not find locally. Many thanks, Robert, and to Marietta Auto Sales. More
BAIT AND SWITCH. YELLING AT CUSTOMERS. STAY AWAY. This experience was severely unprofessional - and that is describing it lightly. The sales agent Robert, as well as the "Finance Manager" Fred, often raised their voices and argued with me rather than negotiate on damage to the body of the vehicle, the engine service light, etc. Claiming "their guy" could buff out several, repetitive, and obviously too deep scratches was ludicrous as the metal was showing - buffing it anymore would cause more bare metal to show. In addition to that, they said "buy it now and we'll write up saying our guys out back will buff it out - because they're not here right now". If you have a chance to go out back and see the "work area" you will be shocked. It is circa Mad Max meets third world country meets random wild dogs. I even felt unsafe going to the back of their building to the work area. Lastly, they tried to pull a bait and switch which is highly illegal. They offered me a price which wasn't ideal, but better than sticker - and then they went against their word and raised the price as we became closer to making a deal. These guys are crooks. Do yourself a favor and walk away like I did. Better yet, read the reviews, and NEVER come here in the first place. More
They were very clean and kind. They made everything clear for me to understand. Answered all my questions in a wonderful manner. Listen to my concerns and if i had any problems and solved them. The shopping and car buying process can be very stressful. The salesmen at Marietta Auto Sales were very knowledgeable about their inventory to the financing process. Johnnie was very easy to work stressful. The salesmen at Marietta Auto Sales were very knowledgeable about their inventory to the financing process. Johnnie was very easy to work with, he didn't hassle me or put any unnecessary pressure on me to close the sale. But gave my husband and I plenty or space and time to make our decision. The inventory at Marietta Auto Sales is amazing, the cars are pristine and the price is fair. More
I found a 2010 Honda Odyssey on Autotrader.com. I live over 2 hours away so I wanted to save the drive if possible and call to speak to someone to find out if trading in our car for the car we were intere over 2 hours away so I wanted to save the drive if possible and call to speak to someone to find out if trading in our car for the car we were interested in was possible. I took a day of my time speaking with Fred about meeting our demands and needs to make a possible deal. He did a lot for me and made me feel good and worked out a deal for us on our car. I decided to take the drive down and see the car I was interested in. As I was walking into the office, which wasn't an office at all but an old house made into an office, a young man was talking with someone and was clearly upset. After being inside he was left alone and my salesmen was outside looking at my car, I decided to ask him why he was upset. He told me he had called and made a deal over the phone to buy a car and had flown all the way from Chicago to get here and see that the car he wanted had front end damage and was poorly fixed and misrepresented. After looking at my car I was told a MUCH lower trade in price because the price Fred had quoted me on wasn't worth it to them to buy because they could buy my kind of car much lower at auction. Basically they told me they weren't interested in my car and there was no deal to be made after I had done all the leg work and talking with Fred the day before so this exact thing wouldn't happen. Also the car I was interested in was not at all what they had described. Said it has a one owner non smoker car but it smelled horribly of cigarette smoke and a Yankee Candle airfresher was hanging in the car. Johnnie clearly told me that this car was not a nonsmoking car and he said that if that said it on the internet it was typed in wrong. I had also picked another car to look at off their website, along with the one I found on Autotrader and that was also poorly described, The pictures off their site didn't match the car at all. Don't let them fool you and pull the wool over your eyes making you think that you can work a deal! It's just a game to get you there hoping they will get you to buy something. I left extremely mad and unsatisfied. I drove four hours round trip, wasted a tank of gas and changed plans for them to do nothing but waste my time! STAY AWAY!!! More
The SALES DEPARTMENT was ok. However, the finance department was the worst I have ever had to deal with. They were not willing to compromise. I dealt with what I was given because the car looks fanta department was the worst I have ever had to deal with. They were not willing to compromise. I dealt with what I was given because the car looks fantastic and the price was excellent, but my monthly payment should have been a lot lower with the credit score that I have. I WILL NOT BUY FROM THIS PLACE AGAIN AND I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE UNLESS THEY GET A BETTER FINANCE DEPARTMENT. More
I bought my car from this dealership because it was being sold at a good price. I love my car and it runs well, after replacing the tires and getting an oil change. My biggest problem with Marietta Auto sa sold at a good price. I love my car and it runs well, after replacing the tires and getting an oil change. My biggest problem with Marietta Auto sales is the headache i had to go through to buy the car and to get it tagged. I usually don't write bad reviews, but it was a nightmare working with them. Nate, the salesman was awful. You could definitely tell he was only in it for the sale. When i called him to ask how much the final price of the car was going to be, he lied to me and told me that there would be no additional fees. He then told me the price of the car was $500 more than what was originally agreed upon. When i asked him about it he told me it was a "processing fee". I'm in sales, so I'm not super surprised i got charged an additional fee, but I was extremely irritated to be lied to like that, instead of him just being up front and honest with me. When all the paperwork was concluded, i noticed that the "processing fee" had just been added into the agreed upon price of the car instead of having its own separate category. Also, when i was going through the paperwork, they tried to add an additional warranty on the car that I hadn't agreed to, or was even mentioned to me. I only noticed it because I actually read the contract and saw that there was and extra $1800 added to the total price of the car, and when I asked Fred, the financing manager to break down the price for me I saw that it was a warranty that didn't really cover anything anyway. I'm not sure if there is an individual to blame for that, but regardless of who is to blame it is completely dishonest! All of this added to the fact that Nate decided to go out for lunch in the middle of us doing the paperwork did not impress me at all. I thought i was done dealing with this dealership until a couple weeks later. I was getting the tags for my car, and was going through that paperwork. The dealership was suppose to send a check for the state taxes on the car since I had purchased it out of state. Well they sent the check, but didn't sign it. So i had to pay for the taxes again, since i had already paid the dealership for them the first time, with the expectation that they were going to send me a reimbursement check. Well they did send me a check, signed and everything. It only took 10-15 phone calls and another month. I honestly would have been happy to give $200 just to not have to deal with them again. All in all, they sold me a good car at a decent price, but the headache, dishonesty, and incompetence i had to go through to get it was not worth it. I would never buy a car from them again regardless of price. More
