Our main vehicle since 1978 has always been a Toyota Camry. We went to Maple Wood Toyota to continue the trend. We were greeted by Dave Pates and he immediately made us feel like valued customers, even though at that point to him we were only potential customers or maybe even tire kickers. We made a deal that day to lease a new Toyota. Since then, I have never had a negative thought about the Maple Wood Toyota dealership or Dave Pates. We later purchased a great used pick up from Dave also. He was extremely helpful when we had a small problem with the used vehicle and everything was taken care of without hassle. The new car has never been a problem, but when I went back for service, I was efficiently taken care of in a very friendly way. We would never hesitate to recommend Maple Wood Toyota to anyone of our acquaintances looking to purchase a new or used vehicle. Sales and service personnel there are very friendly, helpful and understanding. They make you feel like you are more than just a tally on the sales board. And besides, they have free coffee and rolls while you wait for service. More

Larry proved me wrong. I see him most every time I bring my truck or Highlander in for maintenace. He goes out of his way to greet me and ask about the truck and how things are going. He has become a friend. Something that has never happened at other dealerships. In late October I had an accident with my car, a 2001 Toyota Camry. Since it had high mileage my insurance company determined it to be a total loss. At that time I was not planning on buying a new car for another year but due to the circumstances I felt compelled to make the purchase immediately. I called Maplewood Toyota and spoke with Debbie she invited me to stop in when convenient and she would assist me in finding a vehicle that I would be happy with. I stopped in later that day. Debbie was helpful we looked around and found a vehicle of the type that I had indicated I was interested in purchasing. We started to complete some preliminary paperwork. I was feeling very stressed, I wanted to get to the Insurance office to pick up the check for the total loss, I was driving a loaner car from the body shop and I really had not come to terms with how I was going to fit this major purchase into my budget at this time. Therefore instead of explaining my thought process I proceeded to be very rude to the woman in charge of setting up delivery options and stomping out of the showroom in frustration. To make a long story short I called the sales manager the next day explained to him my frustration and my wish to push the reset button. He was very cordial. I returned that afternoon and thanks to Debbie, Lisa, Terry and the finance representative I left the showroom with my new Toyota as excited as a 16 year old. I would definetly recommend this dealership to my friends and anyone else who will listen. I could not be more happy. My husband and I had bought another Toyota Sienna in 2009. Prior to that in 1984 when I was in graduate school, I had purchased a Toyota from this dealership and had a horrible experience with this pur 2009. I believe that the salesperson at that time told me they were not allowed to negotiate. (Yeah, right!) In 2009, when we were negotiating with the salesperson at Maplewood Toyota and he left to get his manager's approval, I told my husband I now remembered why I hated this dealership and had vowed never to return to it. I felt the salesperson was really playing hardball with us during our negotiations. At one point I told my husband I was so angry we should just leave and buy the Honda we'd test driven earlier. We needed a new vehicle this year, and I had heard a lot about the 2011 Honda Odyssey regarding its fuel efficiency. We test drove the Honda. We also wanted to try out the 2011 Sienna. I told my husband on the way to the Toyota dealership I hated to go back. I was absolutely amazed by how friendly and FLEXIBLE our salesperson, Debbie Ingbretson, was. It was like night and day! I did not walk out of the dealership feeling as though I'd been given the shaft, as I had in the past. When we returned to pick up the car, Debbie helped me set up my cell phone with the Bluetooth feature in the car. What a pleasant experience! I never thought I would leave a car dealership feeling really good about a purchase, but this time I did. I cannot say enough good things about Debbie Ingbretson and the way she treated us! More
