walk in service I noticed that my headlight was out, and my "maintenance required soon" light had come on, so I stopped in to see if I needed to make an appointment. I noticed that my headlight was out, and my "maintenance required soon" light had come on, so I stopped in to see if I needed to make an appointment. The maintenance was tire rotation; they topped off the liquids, checked things out, rotated the tires, changed the bulb, washed the car. I was out in under an hour. They were kind, efficient, knowledgeable. Great team! More
Clear explanation of why repairs were needed. I brought my 10 year old Toyota Matrix in for an oil change. During the routine check-up they discovered an small oil leak but couldn't tell where it was coming from. Ryan from the service center very clearly explained to me what they needed to do to find the leak and once it was found, what they needed to do to repair it. I'm an older woman and over the years have had many experiences where men who were woking on my car talked to me as though I wouldn't be able to understand what needed to be done and why. Ryan was so good at explaining things to me and he did it in a manner that was easily understood. Just person to person. No condescending attitude. Thank you Ryan! More

I was waiting for my car to get serviced and was sitting in the Highlander on the showroom floor. Jay Engfer asked if I needed help and we started talking about the features of the new Hybrid. He was very professional, thorough, went through all the value that new new hybrid offers. I was very impressed by his sales presentation to the point I took the time to fill this out. Both sales guys are good at what they do. I will purchase my next Highlander soon from one of them. More
This week's car "adventure" I visited the service department on three separate occasions this week. Monday: As recommended at my last oil change, because of the car's mileage I visited the service department on three separate occasions this week. Monday: As recommended at my last oil change, because of the car's mileage, I made an appointment to have the spark plugs replaced. Mentioned to the person who checked me in that the gas cap hadn't been "clicking" into place -- was that a big deal? He said that, as long as it was running normally, it was no big deal. The other service was completed well. Tuesday: I started my car at the end of the work day and found three warning lights, including the check engine light. I called the service department and was assured that it was safe to drive across the cities, that if something happened, call Eric and he'd arrange a tow. Got to the dealership alright. Tiffany read the code on the check engine light (emissions leak). We discussed the gas cap conversation from the previous day. I asked to replace the gas cap, which happened and she turned off the check engine lights. Wednesday passed without incident. Thursday: First thing in the morning, the same warning lights were on when I started the car. I called the dealership and the person (name?) on the phone made an appointment and we'd "get to the bottom of this" check engine light. I got to the dealership, again without incident. The person who greeted me ran the codes (same emissions leak code) and originally suggested cleaning the gas cap, turning off the light, and sending me on my way. I insisted that the service department figure out the problem (turning off the light every 2 days is not the long-term solution). After I persisted, he quickly agreed to send the car up to the techs, who ran another test on the fuel system and found a cracked/split hose under the hood. The repair was made. So far (written Friday evening), it seems to have done the trick . . . only time will tell. Though I was disappointed to have to return to the dealership multiple times this week, I was pleased at the overall service I experienced. On Thursday, I left feeling that the service representative had done his best to make the situation right. I will continue to have my car serviced at Maplewood Toyota. More
