Black, Brown, Women buyers beware: If you want to be treated unfairly this is the place to purchase your vehicle. Here is my story. I went to purchase a vehicle in January of 2022. There weren't any inv treated unfairly this is the place to purchase your vehicle. Here is my story. I went to purchase a vehicle in January of 2022. There weren't any inventory, therefore I had to build the car to my specification and left a deposit to secure it. I was so excited and patiently waited for 6 months before this vehicle was built and shipped. Fast forward I get the call saying to pick up the vehicle and that is when the shenanigans began. I sat with my dealer Stephen Kush to discuss the numbers. At this point is when I started experiencing the price gouging and discriminatory actions. Stephen presented numbers that were higher then the amount first agreed upon when I placed the order for the car. Ok, I still was willing to buy the car that I waited 6 months to purchased. The next problem came when they came up with these astronomical payments on the lease of the truck. As I told him (Stephen) that I was not going to pay those payments and I want to work out something with my credit union, he tried to sway me from taking these actions. I left the dealership with instructions stating I will be getting the loan from my credit union and I will be back for the vehicle. After several emails with Stephen Kush trying to convince me to buy out my current lease with them as I explained wholeheartedly that I am working on purchasing the new vehicle , I go into the dealership with my check to buy the car in full just to be told "WE SOLD THE CAR". A car that 1. I ordered for me 2. secured a deposit on 3. told them I will be financing with my credit union 4. had the check ready for purchase all in less then a week with one day being a holiday just to find out that it was sold. To add insult to injury, I sat with the sales manger Michael Deleo who unapologetically said " WHAT CAN WE DO NOW WE SOLD THE CAR" a car that had a secure payment left for such a incident not to happen. And did I mention, they didn't even wait 24 hrs before I left to secure the loan from my credit union, to sell the vehicle. So all the while I was emailing Stephen asking for vin#'s miles etc. for the credit union, he know the vehicle had been sold and still allowed me to get the loan and make arrangement with him to meet and pick up the car. Just to say when I got there "ooo I wanted to show you another car that is similar". This kind of activity would not have happened if I wasn't Black, Brown, or a Women. SO BUYER BEWARE if you want to be treated unfairly come to Maplecrest Ford and ask for Stephen Kusk and Michael Deleo. More
