And for Volvo the labor rate is $130. I sincerely apologize that this was not explained to you beforehand. I will talk with the service department and make sure they explain the potential costs when customers drop their vehicles off to prevent any surprises at the time of pickup. Amie, The reason I was upset with the service charge of $130.00 is that I told them when I came in there was a periodic problem with the driver side window controls, that it was probably a loose connection. The service rep came back and said, "yes, they think it is probably a loose connection and if you want it fixed you will need to schedule another appointment that will take 3 labor hours or about $400.00". I said no, so for them to agree with me that it is probably a loose wire, I WAS CHARGED $130.00!!! I already knew it was a loose connection. They didn't fix anything that I wasn't already aware of. The other issue is that I made an appointment for an oil change that after 2 1/2 hours I was still sitting in the waiting area. Matt Williamson came by and wondered why I was still there (I saw him when I came in for the appointment). He said, let me find out what the hold up is...well 2 minutes later the service rep came back to me and said, "your car is done". (it wasn't washed but I just wanted to get out of there). When you have to make an appointment for a PM two weeks in advance, then when you arrive, it should be done in an hour, not 2 1/2 hours!!! As a retired businessman myself I understand that you are experiencing a shortage of service staff and that is making things difficult, however charging the rates you are charging $250.00 for an oil change and just looking at something, comes out to $100/hour for me to sit in your waiting area. That is as bad as going to the doctor for a checkup!!!!
