Hello, my name is Brian Manly. My father opened his first store on Santa Rosa Avenue in 1961. A lot has happened since then, not the least being our Hyundai store which we opened on February 12th 1986. We sell new Hyundai vehicles, and also have a beautiful selection of preowned vehicles. Our goal being 5 star service. We couldn't have done all this without the support of our community and we hope to continue as the trusted place for your automotive needs! I'll see you at Manly's!

You spend over $30,000 for a car you expect it to be detailed. The car was filthy when we test drove it. I explained to our sales person that detailing the car was very important to me. The car was dirty and full of pet hair. I expressed that there was a stain in the trunk. I told the sales person I was very picky about cleanliness. The trunk of the car wasn't even touched. When we came to pick up the car the charging cord was missing and we live four hours away. The cord had to be hunted down. Our sales person said he would not be available the day we came in to pick up the car but assured us he was only a phone call away. We tried calling twice when the cord could not be found and it went straight to voice mail each time.

Well, there are as you say, mitigating circumstances, both of which can be laid at Hyundai's door. Anti-theft issue is theirs. Lack of dealer in Marin is theirs too. While I won't be bringing my vehicle by for a while, seems to me you could at least warn your customers of the extended wait time. Better yet, set up a process where they are advised of the wait time, with a means to respond and get some sort of token which they can bring with them to assure their spot in line. Your service rep, Cesar, was excellent. No complaints there. And I appreciate being given a loaner while my vehicle was being serviced (which BTW took most of the day for a ICCU module replacement). I also own a Kia EV6, and there is a Kia dealer in Marin. I would appreciate it if you could impress on Hyundai with whatever means are at your disposal the importance of establishing a dealer in an affluent area where your excellent product will likely find willing buyers.

I understand your frustration, but as you noted, we did our very best to accommodate you by providing a vehicle. Please know that we are the only dealer within 37 miles which is not typical for any other brand. This leaves us as the sole provider for owners that would normal be serviced by 3 dealers. Additionally, due to the anti theft recall that was recently issued, the volume is much greater than normal.
