OK, raise your hand if you didn’t use your car heater or defroster in the past 3 weeks, with temperatures dropping to the 30s every night. It’s been brutal, especially because I have medical conditions that are exacerbated by the cold. So here’s the email I got from the service manager, Zach: "I’m sorry that the heater cable was damaged during your visit. I assure you it wasn’t intentional, but merely a side effect attempting to expedite your repair." So it’s a mere side effect that I have to bundle up and wear gloves if I drive for much of the day - it’s 45 degrees at 10:30 am while I write this. It’s a mere side effect that I often need pain medication after I drive in my cold car. It’s a mere side effect that I can’t pick up my medically fragile disabled sister, because she couldn’t stand the cold. Thanks, Zach. I feel so much better, knowing that your technician didn’t set out to break my heater, and that all the inconvenience, physical discomfort and loss of family contact is just due to a mere side effect.
